Chapter 131: Ruin You (Part 2)
The moment Bai Liangfeng heard Zhang Yang's roar, he fainted. But he was quickly awakened by a bucket of cold water splashed over him.
When he opened his eyes and saw Zhang Yang's expressionless face, he immediately pissed himself and cried, "Brother Yang, Brother Yang, please forgive me! I'll do whatever you say!"
Zhang Yang looked at him, silent for a while, then sneered. "Alright then. Write down, in full detail, how you insulted He Mei and how you ordered people to beat up Uncle He Ting."
Zhang Yang had Old Yi loosen his hands a bit, then tossed him a pen and a sheet of paper.
"Talk while you write," Zhang Yang said slowly. "If what you say and what you write don't match, I promise that by the time you're done, you won't have a hand left to hold a pen."
"Can I not write?" Bai Liangfeng wasn't stupid. If he wrote it all down, Zhang Yang would have evidence against him forever.
"I told you, I don't have patience." Zhang Yang stood up and looked at Old Yi.
Without a word, Old Yi grabbed a machete, seized Bai Liangfeng's arm, and swung down.
"Clang!"
A flash of cold steel sliced past the tip of Bai Liangfeng's little finger.
Bai Liangfeng let out a blood-curdling scream and wet himself on the spot, the stench making everyone wrinkle their noses.
"Didn't even cut yet—what are you screaming for?" Old Yi glanced at him disdainfully, slowly drawing the blade back along Bai Liangfeng's trembling fingers. He blew off the fingernail that had been sliced away. "But if you still don't learn, next time it won't be just the nail."
"I'll write… I'll write…" Sweat poured from Bai Liangfeng's forehead. His hands trembled as he grabbed the pen and looked up at Zhang Yang. "W-where do I start?"
"Looks like you don't want your fingers after all."
"I know, I know how to start…" Bai Liangfeng saw the gleaming blade and swallowed his words instantly.
"That year, I was drinking with Peng Family's eldest son, Peng Peng, and Matsuda Kawataro, the eldest son of Matsuda Naokawa—the Marketing Division 1 Director of Shiteng Pharmaceuticals' Huaxia Branch. While we were drinking, we happened to meet He Mei, who was working as a dancer in the bar. I knew her a bit, so I invited her to supper. She refused at first, but I threatened to expose her side job dancing at bars, so she reluctantly agreed."
"Peng Peng said he wanted to screw her, so we secretly drugged her drink and took her to Jinghua Hotel. While she was unconscious, we raped her. But that wasn't enough for us—we took her to Peng Peng's house and gang-raped her again. Peng Peng chickened out this time, but Matsuda Kawataro wanted to try something new, so he brought in Peng Family's horny husky…"
"Afterward, we tried to pay her to shut up, but she refused. A week later, she went to the police, but we destroyed all the evidence. My dad pulled some strings, and the case was dropped. Still, I thought she was too arrogant for reporting us, so I uploaded the video online and threatened her to obey me—or I'd send it to her father."
"We didn't think she'd actually be so dramatic as to kill herself over something that small."
"Something that small?" Gao Qi couldn't take it anymore. Her sister had been an honors student, living off scholarships—and this beast had destroyed her life. "You bastard! That 'small thing' cost my sister her life!"
She grabbed a metal pipe from Ah Gou and smashed it across Bai Liangfeng's back. He screamed, not daring to fight back.
"I know I was wrong, I—"
Zhang Yang pulled Gao Qi aside and gave her a look, whispering, "Let him finish first."
Gao Qi hesitated, then nodded.
"After He Mei jumped, Kawataro panicked and fled back to the Chrysanthemum Kingdom. Peng Peng ran abroad too. I still had feelings for Lin Yin, so my father helped cover things up. At the time, Professor Hai from the university was expelled for misconduct, so we pinned the blame on him. He took our money and didn't mind the extra charge."
"That's everything."
"And the part about Uncle He Ting getting beaten—what about that?"
Bai Liangfeng hesitated, then sighed. "Fine. Uncle He kept pestering me about He Mei's case, so I sent people to 'teach him a lesson.' But I didn't expect He Tiancheng to go that far—it wasn't my idea."
"Really? If it wasn't your idea, why did you have He Tiancheng kill the guy who led the beating, Ah Ye?" Zhang Yang sneered.
Bai Liangfeng froze, staring at him with dead fish eyes. "H-how did you know that?"
"How I knew…" Zhang Yang said calmly, "I told you, I'm not patient. Keep hiding things and…"
Before he finished, Old Yi grabbed Bai Liangfeng's hand and brought the machete down again, chopping off half a finger. Bai Liangfeng screamed in agony, blood pouring from his hand. "I'll talk! I'll talk! Just save me first!"
Ah Gou took a cigarette, puffed twice, then pressed the glowing tip against Bai Liangfeng's wound. "Quit whining. I heard tobacco stops bleeding."
Bai Liangfeng howled in pain. If it really worked, why didn't you use it on yourself, bastard?!
"What're you yelling for?" Ah Gou slapped him. "Didn't I stop the bleeding for you?"
"Speak. How did the Bai family hire people to attack Uncle He, and who ordered He Tiancheng to silence them?" Zhang Yang asked coldly. "Hide one more thing…"
"Alright… I'll tell you…" Bai Liangfeng, missing half a finger, couldn't write anymore, so he confessed aloud while Gao Qi recorded everything.
When he finished, Bai Liangfeng thought it was over. He sighed in relief, clutching his half-healed hand. "I've told you everything. You can let me go now, right?"
"Everything? Then what about Spade Eight?"
"Spade Eight?" Bai Liangfeng shook his head. "I don't know much, but it's a killer organization."
"Guess you don't want your hands after all…" Old Yi slowly ran the blade along his arm.
"I'm not lying! I overheard my father on the phone once—he was talking with Du Family's young master, Du Yuheng, and mentioned it! That's all I know!"
"Du Yuheng?" Zhang Yang frowned. Bai Liangfeng didn't seem to be lying, and since he'd been locked up during the attack, he couldn't have been directly involved. Still, hearing that name made Zhang Yang realize his real enemies weren't just the Bai family.
"The Du Family is one of the top families in Southeast Province. They're not like us at Bai Pharmaceuticals—they're much harder to mess with," Bai Liangfeng said, taunting him. "Take my advice—drop this while you can."
Zhang Yang looked at him and sneered. "Are you stupid? You want me to stick my neck out and wait for your people to chop it off? Since you've said everything, then…"
"Brother Yang, you'll let me go, right?" Bai Liangfeng asked hopefully, his voice trembling.
"Let you go?" Zhang Yang turned away and walked toward the sofa. "Sure. I'll let you go."
As soon as he said it, Ah Gou came in with three or four men, dragging three drooling mongrels behind them.
"Heh, Brother Yang, all set. These mutts have been waiting a long time," Ah Gou said with a wicked grin, pointing at the straining dogs. "You'll like this."
Zhang Yang glanced at Gao Qi and said softly, "Sister Qi, you should step out for this."
Gao Qi had already guessed what was coming, but her face remained firm. "Yangzi, I'm staying. I want to see it."
