Chapter 435 - Ch 241 - Chidori

Kakashi let out a faint sigh, but pressed on. "All right then… today we begin your training in chakra manipulation. This path is not easy. It usually takes years to refine chakra into precise shapes and nature. For you, it will be harder."

"Mmm…" Sasuke nodded curtly, though inside his chest throbbed with irritation. 'Harder? That just means I'll crush through it faster.'

Kakashi tilted his head slightly. "Do you remember Haku?"

Sasuke stiffened, memories of the boy in the mist flooding back with the icy needles.

"The one with the Ice Release," Sasuke replied.

"Yes," Kakashi confirmed. "That boy wielded a Bloodline Limit. By combining Water and Wind, he created Ice. A power unique to his clan, so unique that even my Sharingan could not copy it."

Sasuke's jaw tightened. He remembered Haku's words.

'Are you scared?'

His smirk returned, colder this time. "Hmph. That fool thought he was untouchable because of some bloodline trick. I'll surpass that… without needing anyone else's gift."

Kakashi raised a brow but said nothing. He saw it again, the ambition burning inside Sasuke.

It was really dangerous, yes, but undeniably potent.

"Listen well," Kakashi said, his voice low. "Learning one element is common. Learning two is rare. Combining two into something greater than that is almost impossible without a kekkei genkai. But mastery of shape manipulation and nature manipulation together…"

He lifted his right hand, raising it into Sasuke's view.

"…can create a weapon beyond imagination."

Sasuke leaned forward slightly, his eyes locked onto Kakashi's hand.

"Watch closely," Kakashi instructed, his tone suddenly razor-sharp.

Chakra began pooling into Kakashi's palm, faint at first like an unstable blob of blue energy that flickered like a flame without form.

"This is raw chakra, shaped into a basic mass," Kakashi explained.

The mass pulsed and shimmered, almost alive.

"Now… I add the nature of Lightning."

In an instant, the chakra changed. Sparks snapped across Kakashi's fingers. The blob sharpened, crackling, hissing as arcs of electricity burst from it. The air trembled, ozone filling the field.

"Feel it, Sasuke. This is not a simple chakra anymore. This is an electric current. It is pure and concentrated."

The hairs on Sasuke's arms stood on end. His breath hitched. His heart thudded like a drum against his ribs. 'This… this is power.'

Kakashi's voice grew more intense as he layered chakra. "Next, I condense the current. Force it into a surge, make it more compact, and violent. Ready to explode."

The sparks grew brighter, sharper, louder, until the very sound of crackling filled the training ground like a storm contained in a single palm.

The technique roared like a thousand birds screaming at once.

Sasuke's eyes widened, his throat dry. His fingers twitched with the urge to reach out. His Sharingan almost spun into life from sheer desire. 'That jutsu… I need it. I need it now.'

But then, with a sharp flick, Kakashi cut the chakra off. The field went eerily quiet again, the scent of ozone still lingering.

Sasuke swallowed hard, his greed gnawing at him. He wanted more. He wanted to see it again.

Kakashi lowered his hand and looked Sasuke dead in the eye. "This… is my original creation. A jutsu that combines both shape and nature manipulation to their extreme."

Sasuke leaned forward, his voice rough with barely restrained hunger. "Teach me. What's it called?"

Kakashi's eye curved slightly, his voice calm but heavy with significance.

"By the end of this training, even if you cannot master the complete form, you will at least learn its nature manipulation."

He paused, then spoke the name.

"This technique… is called Chidori."

The word echoed in Sasuke's mind like thunder. His chest tightened. His blood raced. He clenched his fists so hard his nails dug into his palms.

'Chidori… Lightning in my hand. With this… with this, I'll definitely surpass Naruto and become stronger than him.'

Kakashi silently read the shift in Sasuke's expression, the storm brewing in his heart. He sighed inwardly. 'He wants it too badly… But maybe that hunger will be the very thing that lets him wield it.'

"Get ready, Sasuke," Kakashi finally said, his tone sharp again. "This won't be easy. But if you survive the training… you'll be able to master it."

Sasuke's lips curled into a cold smirk. His eyes glowed with fire and lightning.

"Then let's begin."

The Next Day

Konoha Training Field

Sasuke stood in the center, his jaw tight, his eyes sharp, his fists clenched. The cool breeze did nothing to soothe his simmering irritation.

'Why is he wasting time again?' Sasuke seethed, scanning the tree line. He had been waiting. 'I've already lost too much time. Every second I stand here is another second further from the goal… another second closer to being left behind by Naruto.'

Minutes dragged like hours. His impatience gnawed at him. By the thirtieth minute, his rage was palpable.

"Good morning!"

The familiar, maddeningly cheerful voice rang out. Kakashi appeared at last, hands in his pockets, walking casually as if this was all just a stroll in the park.

Sasuke's head snapped up, his glare piercing.

"I was walking by, and—" Kakashi began, tilting his head with his usual lazy tone.

"I DON'T CARE!" Sasuke roared, cutting him off. His teeth clenched, his voice shaking with pent-up fury.

Without another word, he thrust his hand upward.

Sparks danced wildly. A small orb of lightning chakra crackled in his palm, imperfect in shape, unstable, but undeniable. It hissed and sputtered, arcs of light leaping from his fingers like a storm barely contained.

Kakashi's visible eye widened. For the faintest moment, his breath caught. 'Already…? In one night? He forced this much control in a single day? This… this boy…'

"Sasuke," Kakashi said, his tone suddenly serious, sharp. He stepped forward. "Show me your hand."

Sasuke scowled, but extended his hand anyway. Kakashi gripped it, turning it carefully in his own. The skin of Sasuke's palm was rough, reddened, and marked by faint burns, but the raw wounds had already begun to heal.

'He rested. He actually listened.' Kakashi thought, surprised. 'He didn't recklessly push past the limit. He waited, let his body mend, then built upon it. That discipline… it's dangerous in someone with his hunger.'

Kakashi released his hand and straightened. "Okay, Sasuke. Before I even consider teaching you the Chidori, you must know its prerequisites. The technique is not a game. Without the right foundation, it will kill you before it kills your enemy."

Sasuke's dark eyes narrowed, his patience razor-thin. "Then stop talking in circles."

Kakashi lifted one finger. "First is physical ability. Your body is strong, and your speed is impressive. But they are not enough. Chidori demands more. You will need to move faster... much faster than you ever have before. We'll train you for that speed."

Sasuke's lips pressed into a thin line. 'Faster? I'll become faster than anyone. I will catch up with you soon, Naruto, Rock Lee...'

Kakashi raised a second finger. "Second is Sharingan. Which, thankfully, you already possess."

Sasuke tilted his head. "Why Sharingan? Isn't speed and chakra control enough?"
