Chapter 164 - Nagumo Miyabi’s Invitation!

Chapter 164: Nagumo Miyabi's Invitation!

Tachibana felt that Shimizu Yuto's ability to understand and absorb information was almost absurd.

He could infer several things from a single explanation, and many tasks required hardly any detailed instruction before he grasped them on his own.

After only one afternoon of training, Tachibana already believed Yuto was fully capable of handling the vice president's responsibilities.

Beyond his frightening competence, spending the afternoon talking with him had also given Tachibana a rough understanding of his personality.

Yuto did not seem nearly as terrifying as the rumors claimed. He was easy to get along with, pleasant to speak to, and never gave off the cold, arrogant impression of someone who looked down on everyone around him.

Watching Yuto leave, Tachibana sighed.

"Rumors really are unreliable."

Of course, the rumors were not entirely wrong.

Yuto simply treated allies warmly and enemies mercilessly.

Tachibana was clearly on his side, so why would he ever act cold toward her?

...

On his way back to the detached apartment, Yuto was stopped by someone.

After recognizing the boy's face, he raised an eyebrow and smiled brightly.

"So, are you here to fight me, or are you here to fight me?"

"Why are both choices fighting?!" Mizowaki complained, his face twitching.

"If you're stopping me like this, is there really any reason besides wanting to teach me a lesson?" Yuto asked with a smile.

"...Boss Nagumo wants to see you."

"I see. I'm busy. I'm going home for dinner."

Yuto casually continued, "Tell Nagumo Miyabi that if he wants to see me, he can come find me personally."

Yuto's tone immediately angered Mizowaki.

"Shimizu Yuto, you—"

"You what?"

"Are you and Nagumo both idiots? Don't you understand that inviting someone requires sincerity?"

"Or do you think I'm one of Nagumo's lackeys like you, ready to run over the instant he says a word?"

The words "lackey" and "run over" instantly darkened Mizowaki's expression.

They were Nagumo's companions!

Not lackeys!

Had Shimizu Yuto swallowed poison earlier? Why was every sentence coming out of his mouth so vicious?!

Furious, Mizowaki shouted, "We're your senpais! If a senpai tells you to come, then you're supposed to come!"

"In that case, I should contact Horikita-senpai."

Yuto pulled out his phone.

Mizowaki hurriedly asked, "Why are you contacting the president?!"

"Horikita-senpai is a third-year and the student council president. He's your senpai and Nagumo's too."

"So I'll have him order you to strip naked and run around outside."

"Huh?! Why the hell would I obey such a ridiculous order?!"

"So you agree it's ridiculous."

Yuto looked at Mizowaki with disgust.

"Then how did you have the nerve to tell me, 'If a senpai tells you to come, you have to come'?"

"Shouldn't you obediently listen to your senpai and go streaking now?"

"..."

Mizowaki's mouth twitched.

He had finally realized that he could not win an argument against Shimizu Yuto.

Yuto shook his head while looking at his dark expression.

"How does Nagumo end up surrounded by idiots like you? No wonder it was so easy for me to kick him out of the student council."

"That's enough!"

This bastard was really twisting the knife!

If Mizowaki did not know perfectly well that he could not beat Yuto in a fight, he would have punched him already.

And besides, Nagumo getting expelled from the student council had nothing to do with them being his lackeys—No, damn it!

His companions!

Yuto had obviously exploited the school rules and the forged-paper incident to force Nagumo and Tonokawa to resign.

Watching Mizowaki tremble with fury while desperately holding himself back, Yuto thought for a moment.

"Do you hate me?"

"..."

Mizowaki stared at him with a dark face and refused to answer such an absurd question.

Wasn't it obvious?

The remaining students loyal to Nagumo all resented Yuto.

Yuto had taken Nagumo's points, destroyed much of his authority and reputation, and even driven him out of the student council.

If Nagumo had successfully become president, all of them would have benefited. At the very least, Nagumo had promised that they would eventually graduate from Class A.

But now...

That promising future had been destroyed by Shimizu Yuto.

Of course, there were also plenty of people who were grateful that Yuto had removed Nagumo.

Horikita Manabu and Tachibana Akane, for example.

There were also second-year students who hated living under Nagumo's control, as well as Class B students who wanted a genuine chance to reach Class A.

"I asked whether you hate me. If you don't answer, I'm leaving," Yuto said impatiently.

"So what if I do...?"

"Then you can relax."

Yuto spoke with exaggerated consideration.

"I'll find an opportunity to make you leave the student council. That way, you won't have to see me there anymore."

Mizowaki's face darkened again.

He understood perfectly.

This bastard intended to kick him out too!

Well, naturally.

There was no chance Yuto would allow Nagumo's followers to remain inside the student council.

Once Yuto became president, he planned to bring Kei and the others into the council and turn the organization into something completely under his control.

Then, eventually, he could step down and dump the presidency—and all the work that came with it—onto Suzune and the others.

As the saying went, internal problems had to be settled before external ones.

Before turning the student council into his own territory, Yuto needed to remove Nagumo's remaining followers so they could not interfere with his future recruitment plans.

"Heh. Dream on, Shimizu Yuto."

"As long as I don't make a mistake, you'll never find an excuse to force me out of the student council," Mizowaki sneered.

Yuto gave him a bright, dangerous smile.

"Confidence is a good thing."

"But I hope you still have that confidence a few days from now, because that's when I'll start dealing with Nagumo's people and clearing all of you out."

"The ones who voted against me this afternoon were probably all Nagumo's lackeys, right?"

"Then I'll start with them."

A sudden sense of unease rose inside Mizowaki.

Elsewhere on campus, the three general affairs staff who had voted against Yuto inexplicably shivered at almost the same time, as though some terrifying demon had just fixed its gaze on them.

Mizowaki had no idea how Yuto planned to force him out.

But he now knew that the newly appointed vice president intended to target him almost immediately.

What the hell?!

He had only come to relay Nagumo's invitation!

How had he somehow ended up getting threatened instead?!

Yuto looked at Mizowaki's blackened expression.

"Why does Nagumo want to see me? What does he want to discuss?"

"...I don't know. Boss Nagumo only told me to bring you to him."

"How useless."

Yuto looked at him with disdain.

"Are you really one of Nagumo's trusted lackeys? He won't even tell you why he wants me there."

Mizowaki's breathing grew heavier.

He was about to explode.

"Call Nagumo now. If he really wants to meet me, tell him to come to the student cafeteria and treat me to a Wagyu set meal."

"What?! A Wagyu set meal?!"

Mizowaki's eyes widened.

"No way! That meal costs six hundred thousand points!"

"You're not Nagumo. Can you make decisions for him?"

"Call him, or I'm leaving right now."

"...Fine."

Helpless, Mizowaki took out his phone and contacted Nagumo.

The reason Yuto was willing to meet Nagumo was simple.

He was curious.

Why would Nagumo suddenly want to see him now?

Was he planning to threaten him?

Or did he want to make peace?

That curiosity was enough for Yuto to agree to the meeting.

Naturally, he also intended to make Nagumo pay for a six-hundred-thousand-point Wagyu set meal while he was at it.

"Boss Nagumo, it's me. Shimizu Yuto says..."

When Nagumo heard Yuto's condition, his expression instantly darkened.

They were only meeting to talk!

Yet this bastard was already trying to bleed him dry!

How shameless could he be?!

Suppressing his anger and dissatisfaction, Nagumo coldly replied, "Agree to it."

"Huh? Agree to Shimizu Yuto's demand?!"

"Didn't you hear me? Don't make me repeat myself!"

"I heard you!"

Mizowaki hurriedly ended the call and looked at Yuto with an extremely complicated expression.

"Boss Nagumo agreed. Come with me to the student cafeteria."

"Lead the way."

"..."

He could not beat Yuto in a fight.

He could not beat him in an argument.

And Nagumo had already agreed.

Mizowaki could only swallow his frustration and head toward the student cafeteria, while Yuto followed behind with a faint smile.

'Looks like Nagumo wants something significant from me.'

Otherwise, why would he spend six hundred thousand points just to have a conversation?

Mizowaki himself could not understand it.

Why would Boss Nagumo actually agree to this bastard's condition and buy him a Wagyu set meal?

Nagumo had never treated Mizowaki, Tonokawa, or any of his other companions and subordinates to something this extravagant!

It was depressing.

"By the way, Senpai, does Nagumo even have six hundred thousand points left to buy me that Wagyu set meal?" Yuto suddenly asked.

When food was involved, Mizowaki became "Senpai."

When there was no food, he became "idiot."

What a bastard...

"Relax. Boss Nagumo has plenty of ways to obtain points," Mizowaki replied irritably.

"A mere six-hundred-thousand-point Wagyu set meal is nothing to him."

"Really? But Nagumo and Tonokawa transferred all their points to me. Do they still have money?"

During the forged-paper hearing, Yuto had reached a settlement with Nagumo and Tonokawa and obtained all of their personal points.

So where had Nagumo gotten enough points to pay for dinner?

"Heh."

Mizowaki sneered, seemingly eager to demonstrate Nagumo's influence among the second-years.

"Boss Nagumo has plenty of ways to get points. Six hundred thousand is nothing. He can easily afford it."

"I see. Then I'm relieved."

Mizowaki, walking ahead, failed to notice the change behind him.

Beautiful colors shimmered faintly through Yuto's black-and-white eyes, making them gleam like polished gemstones.

Unfortunately, no one was there to notice the strange phenomenon.

Using his mind-reading ability's mind-reading recall, Yuto learned from Mizowaki exactly how Nagumo obtained his points.

And that information suddenly gave him an excellent idea for driving Mizowaki and the three general affairs members out of the student council.

'If this plan works, I should be able to remove all of Nagumo's remaining lackeys from the student council.'

'But I need to think it through carefully first.'

As Yuto walked toward the cafeteria beside Mizowaki, he silently refined the plan that had just occurred to him.

...

After they arrived at the student cafeteria, Mizowaki used the points Nagumo had just transferred to purchase a Wagyu set meal.

"Please pack it to go. I'm not eating here," Yuto told the cafeteria employee.

"Certainly."

"You're not eating it here?" Mizowaki asked.

"Isn't that obvious?"

Yuto rolled his eyes.

"How am I supposed to enjoy my food while looking at you people?"

"..."

Mizowaki's mouth twitched.

Endure it.

He had to endure it!

He never should have opened his mouth.

Whether Shimizu Yuto ate here or took the food away had absolutely nothing to do with him. Why had he asked out of curiosity?!

Under the guidance of the increasingly gloomy Mizowaki, Yuto sat down in a corner of the cafeteria.

He pulled out his phone and started chatting with Airi through Line, telling his obedient childhood friend that he would be heading back to the apartment soon and asking whether she wanted a Wagyu set meal.

[Wagyu set meal? Isn't that really expensive?!]

[Not that expensive. It's only six hundred thousand points.]

[But since you know it's expensive, I guess that means you're curious about what it tastes like. I'll bring one back for you.]

[No! That's not why I know the price!]

[I only checked which meal in the student cafeteria was the most expensive because I was curious. That's the only reason I know how much it costs!]

Airi hurriedly replied while lying on Yuto's bed and idly swinging her feet.

[Then I'll satisfy that curiosity tonight and buy one for you.]

Seeing Yuto's reply, a sweet smile appeared on Airi's face.

It seemed the boy she had already decided would become her future husband was determined to let her taste the Wagyu meal.

Realizing how much he wanted to spoil her, Airi found it difficult to refuse.

[Tomorrow, okay? I already ate dinner tonight. If I eat again, I'll be too full.]

[You can have it as a late-night snack.]

[Absolutely not! Eating late-night snacks makes you gain weight!]

[It's only one meal. How much weight could you possibly gain?]

[Even one is too much! No means no! Absolutely not!]
