Ankhseram was seething as he watched what was happening in the present.
"What is up with all these Dragon Slayers? Natsu is only supposed to have Fire and Lightning elements, and Wendy is not supposed to have Fire Dragon Slayer Magic. And when did Elfman gain Earth Dragon Slayer Magic?" Ankhseram screamed in frustration at the discrepancies in the timeline he was seeing before him.
He knew Karna was a Fate Breaker, a mythical being born once in a millennium who has the ability to change the fate of the future no matter how much it is set in stone. Ankhseram believed that he had brought changes to the timeline, seeing that his future had become unclear.
But even then, he had believed the changes brought by Karna to be small and thought that the timeline would start to move in the previous manner as long as he was eliminated.
But seeing the present right now, Ankhseram realized the world had completely deviated from the original timeline by so much that no matter what he did, he would not be able to bring it back to its former path.
"How!! HOW!! HOW!! How could this happen?! I planned for hundreds of years, slaughtered every member of my civilization, concocted history in my name to manipulate the world, and found two people whom I could bend to help me ascend to godhood.
HOW!! How can everything be destroyed due to the actions of just one measly mortal who has not even lived half a century?!!"
Ankhseram was incredibly frustrated as he looked at the present.
Ninety-nine percent of the dragons he had transported from the past had been trapped inside a space-time phenomenon locked by Anna Heartfilia, and without her permission, even he would not be able to access that space and free the dragons from there.
Plus, the rest of the thousand dragons were getting slaughtered by the Fairy Tail wizards, who somehow or the other had gotten so strong that they were multiple times stronger than Natsu was when he was fighting Zeref charged up by infinite magic in the original timeline.
The most problematic part was that Ankhseram was now locked out of the timeline because he had accessed most of the time periods where he would have been able to exert his influence in changing the timeline.
So the only other way for him to now enter the timeline was through the connection of the curses between Zeref and Mavis.
Using the curse, he would be able to manifest temporarily in the physical plane as long as it was in the present. But even then, he was currently unable to locate the bodies of both Zeref and Mavis.
"Damn you all!!!" he screamed in frustration.
At the same time, in Zeref's laboratory.
"This... this could work, but we will be risking a lot, Zeref, and I don't want to put Karna in that sort of danger," Mavis replied as she looked at their current plan.
"I agree with you wholeheartedly, Mavis, but there is no other choice. If our calculations and findings are correct, Ankhseram has the ability to go to any point in the timeline as he pleases," Zeref said seriously. "So the only way to remove him from godhood is to put someone else there and make sure that they win against Ankhseram.
As long as they manage to obtain dominion over the concept of death, Ankhseram will lose the last anchor he has in the physical world, and both his world and he himself will be destroyed forever.
And the only person we can trust with all that power is Karna."
Zeref provided his opinion on the plan they were making to fight against Ankhseram.
After getting Acnologia's body, they were able to detect the presence of an energy similar to that of Karna when he uses the Death Demon Slayer form and Ankhseram's curse flowing within Mavis's and Zeref's bodies.
They were able to determine that this energy was what had been saving Acnologia from the life-threatening wounds he had gained from the battles he fought with thousands of dragons over centuries until he made them go extinct.
Mavis and Zeref had already been informed about Acnologia's tactic, where he detonates himself and hibernates until he completely heals from any wounds he sustains from his fights.
The death energy in his body was protecting his body from dying and was keeping it in the form of a cage that trapped his soul within it. And when he went into hibernation, his body automatically absorbed Ethernano from the atmosphere and healed every life-threatening wound present within it.
But now Zeref and Mavis were devising a way to manipulate that energy to work against Ankhseram.
"But anyway, let's start creating the ritual field. Whether Karna agrees to it or not, for now, this is the only viable plan we have to beat the God of Death."
At the same time, in Edolas.
Karna had caught up with Jellal about what had happened in Edolas over the last seven years. Jellal was also happy to share the details of his kingdom along with information about how much he had advanced their world by relying on the technological plans that Karna had given him before he left.
Seeing the rapid development of technology, Karna decided to give him extra sets of plans he had gotten from MHA that went beyond the twenty-first century.
He had given them these plans after seeing that they had improved upon the ones he had already given them.
But after that, he decided to leave quickly, as he felt that his friends back in Earthland would also be going through difficulties similar to the ones he had faced in this world.
"Alright then, Mystogan, I'll be leaving. I still have a war to fight back home."

Karna disappeared.
