"Alright, thankfully it's done without any complications," Cana groaned as she sat down after doing procedures for the entire day non-stop.
Karna had given her the reward he got from the Ishgar Four, or more like the Ishgar Three. Jura is being considered the fourth one, but let's ignore that for now.
But it still raises a question of what the rest of the Wizard Saints were doing during the original timeline. Like, they were supposed to be the best. But other than the Four Ishgar, who got bodied, and Makarov, who almost lost his life on the battlefield, the rest of them were nowhere to be found at all.
Well, let's forget about that plot hole for now. Cana right now had used the reward given to Karna to amp up the guild members.
The rewards were the eight Dragon Lacrima within God Serena's body, which included the ones he had tried to purchase. Luckily or unluckily, the Lacrimas did not contain the souls of the dragons they were made from. They might have gotten destroyed when they were implanted into and taken out of Serena's body. Or maybe the souls of the dragons themselves might have decided to pass on.
So they had a total of eight Lacrimas that they could implant into their guild members to increase their power against the dragons who would be coming to attack them.
The Lacrimas included the elements fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, diamond, light, and darkness. And Cana had implanted them into the members that Karna had decided upon.
Natsu already had the Fire Dragon King Seed implanted within him, and adding a Fire Dragon Lacrima would not do him any favours and would only give a minor increase that he could gain by himself within just a few months. So the Lacrima was decided to be given to Wendy.
Now, combined with her Sky Dragon Seed within her, her attacks based on fire would become heavily formidable, and the implanting succeeded in such a way that the Fire Lacrima formed a strong connection with Wendy due to how compatible it was with her Sky Dragon Slayer body. Her attack power had increased multiple times. Plus, she could fuel her fire magic with the magic she gained from eating the air.
The Water Lacrima was implanted into Juvia, seeing how compatible she was with that element of Dragon Slaying. The procedure was completed without any hitch, and her power had increased exponentially, with dragon-signature attacks imprinted onto every water magic she created. And Juvia also discovered another power. She had learned to control the rainy weather that came with her powers months ago when she joined Fairy Tail and gained training from Master. Right now, combined with her Dragon Lacrima, she could create rain from clouds that was imbued with Dragon Slayer Magic. It heavily decreased the stats of every dragon who came under the rain, and she could choose whom she needed to suppress and could target her opponents individually or as a group. An extremely effective crowd-controlling attack that would be useful in the coming battle.
The Wind Dragon Slayer Lacrima was tricky, as Wendy was young and her body would not support adding an additional Lacrima, so it was given to Natsu, who also got the Light Dragon Slayer Lacrima as well. This was because Natsu had a body that was strong enough to handle these multiple Lacrimas, and at the same time this combination formed a synergy that maximised Natsu's overall battle power. Natsu already had the fire and lightning elements within him, and his adaptation to them showed that Natsu was capable of handling multiple elements with ease. Gajeel grumbled that Natsu was getting so many elements but agreed, as even he saw how much Natsu was compatible with these elements. Plus, Ultear had rejected the Dragon Lacrima, stating that her path as a Chrono Frost Dragon Slayer did not need the addition of another element. So Natsu had the Light and Wind Dragon Slayer Lacrimas implanted into him, increasing his recovery power by giving him the ability to eat air that enhanced his fire magic as well as light magic that enhanced both his lightning and fire magic when combined together.
The Earth Dragon Lacrima was implanted into Elfman, who used many beasts that were related to the earth element. This enhanced his recovery and increased the strength of the combination beasts he transformed into by adding the draconic factor into them as well, making him even more of a tank that would be a bane for all wizards out there.
Imagine a wizard who is like a tank, who never tires and heals his body by eating rocks and dirt from the ground. A kind of military weapon that would be a nightmare for any wizard that faced Elfman even once. Plus, him calling out the word "manly" in between would also add to their mental trauma.
The Lightning Lacrima was given to Laxus, who enhanced his already existing Lacrima with the addition of another. Unlike Natsu, who would not see any enhancement with the addition of the same element, Laxus, who already had a Lacrima, had his powers increased by adding another Lacrima of the same element and potential. And since the Lacrima was empty of another soul, adding it was really easy. Laxus, who had already unlocked Blood Lightning, was coming closer to creating an entirely new range of lightning output due to the addition of the Lacrima.
Gajeel on the other hand got the shadow dragon slayer Lacrima and he had extreme compatibility with it when it was combined with his steel body created by combining carbon with his iron dragon slayer seed. He had immediately mastered many of the attacks he had seen Rogue use to escape from the catastrophe of the first elimination round of the grand magic games. Gajeel had kept an eye on him as he sensed he smelled familiar.
Finally, the Diamond Dragon Lacrima was implanted into Erza, who was extremely compatible with it due to her battle style. Because of the addition of the Lacrima, she could now create a nigh-unbreakable body without expending too much of her magic while in human form. Plus, this toughness increased exponentially when she transformed into the Sixth Generation Dragon Slayer form. And her ultimate attack, when she forwent all defences and concentrated all her energy into a single sword, could be used even more safely right now because her body had passive toughness due to the Diamond Lacrima.
