The little guy spoke sensibly. "Mommy, go do your work, I can eat by myself. The traffic's bad right now, drive slower."
Olivia Parker was never the sentimental type, but hearing this little reminder from him still made her heart soften.
She drew a light breath, squatted down, and tugged his clothes straight for him.
"Good boy! Mommy will be back very soon." She turned her face to the side and kissed his soft hair. Straightening up, Olivia Parker looked at Kasper Edith. "I'm leaving."
"Drive slowly, don't rush!"
"Relax, I know." Olivia Parker tipped her chin at Osbert Montgomery. "He's yours."
"Mm." Kasper Edith picked up the bowl from the table. "Osbert, say goodbye to Mommy."
"Goodbye, Mommy."
"Bye."
Waving to the father and son, Olivia Parker walked lightly toward the elevators.
Getting news back this quickly left her both surprised and delighted.
