"As you know, females normally have at least 5 mates, but here we are." Feng Huang raised his hand for Liss to hold it.
Gently, she placed her hand on top of his, and he said.
"A little female, without a single mate, living isolated without her rights."
He then frowned, looking at their overlapping hands.
That look made Liss try to take it away, but he stopped it with his thumb.
"This little female told me about how she chose not to participate in the campfire, but after that, you rascals isolated her."
With a hand on his forehead, he sighed out a dragged "Haa" and stood up.
"But master, she wasn't in need of anything."
'Well, that is true, but it was suffocating to be monitored 24/7 by them. To tell the truth, the reason why I didn't develop any feelings for them was because of the constant pressure; there was no time to fall in love because I was always trying to run out of their lock.'
"Where did you find her? For what I know, the exchange was of 5 females, not 6"
Semion came forward and told Feng Huang how he found Liss after she escaped from a feral cave, and that she always lived alone.
Feng Huang was livid and raised his voice at them.
"So you took advantage of a kidnapped little female and did the same thing as the feral!" With this, both Levi and Semion lowered their heads like children receiving a scolding.
With his other hand, he started pointing at them like an aunt scolding children.
"Preposterous, I say! How could you!"
'This is getting serious. If anything, I was the one who took advantage of them living rent-free.'
"Feng Huang..." The alien said, holding his wrist with her free hand. "It's alright, please calm down." She smiled at him, trying to show that she was ok and that it was ok.
But that only made him angrier.
"You rascals, saw that she is innocent and gentle and took advantage!"
Levi opened his mouth to say something but gave up and kept listening.
Soon Ishid came back with water and, to Liss's surprise, her shoes. He hastily transformed after seeing the situation, coming straight up and grabbing the wrist of the hand that was in Feng Huang's hold.
"She is my female..." - ' Ishid can be so stupid sometimes, I tell you.'
"Oho... the wolf cub is back and is showing its baby teeth."
'Feng Huang talks like he is a grandpa, even though he looks so young. At this point, I give up on reasoning the situation.'
"You geezer, she already accepted me."
Hearing this, Feng Huang's other hand gripped Ishid's wrist, forcing him to let go and fall to his knees.
Then Feng Huang's hands started to trail Liss's body, inspecting it, making Liss tremble. 'It's not a sensual touch but... ok, I admit it, I'm weak for looks.'
"I don't see a single mating mark on her."
Ishid, grinding his teeth, got up, glaring at Feng Huang.
"She accepted me. We just... didn't mate yet."
Levi and Semion's faces went pale. For starters, the way Ishid talked to Feng Huang was unprecedented and dangerous.
Secondly, when did he have time to advance to the point of being accepted by her, without anyone knowing?
But Feng Huang knew better. A hearty laugh echoed before his gaze fell on Ishid as a condescending smirk grew on his lips.
"Are you talking about how you went into a rut and pounced on her yesterday?"
'Well, that is embarrassing, he saw everything?'
Liss's face heated up as her gaze fell, letting her falling hair cover her face.
It was a good try, but seeing her movements, Feng Huang lifted her face, forcing Liss to show her flustered grimace.
"Poor thing, is too gentle to know the ways of the world. Even after hearing about everything you three did, she was more preoccupied with that rascal's well-being."
Releasing her face, he turned, grabbing Ishid's neck and lifting him from the ground. Ishid grunted in pain, but he resisted the grip on his neck, but to no avail. Feng Huang, with great force, sent Ishid flying, making him crash against a tree that, with the impact, broke and fell on top of him.
"Oh god!" Liss yelled in horror, running in his direction just to be stopped by Levi.
He raised her, forcing her to sit on his arm, and with his other hand he pressed her head on his chest, blocking her sight of the fight.
All she could hear was Ishid's pained voice, the sound of flesh being beaten, and the sound of his body crashing.
Levi whispered in her ear, "He knew this would happen," and stayed still without aiding his friend.
At some point, the sounds stopped, replaced by steps coming in their direction.
"Little female doesn't even know when it's dangerous, look at her folded like an armadillo trembling just at the sounds."
Levi finally released her head, letting Liss see the fate Ishid paid for.
"Oh no... Ishid."
He was sprawled on the floor, unconscious, blood flowing from his wounds wetting the grass. The scene made Liss tear up.
'The three of them were getting on my nerves, but that was it, they were caring and took really good care of me... this happened because of me.'
"Why, this is too cruel..." Liss's voice cracked as the tears she tried to hold back fell down her cheeks. The arms holding her tensed up, and Levi's hands caressed her back.
'Look how sweet they are...'
That tender gesture made the alien weep pitifully. Leaning her head on his chest as her soft cries turned into pained sobs.
Feng Huang just let out a sigh and said.
"I will come back later to pick her up; say your goodbyes."
