Jane Sampson had just listened to his voice and thought that his throat sounded hoarse, assuming it was just because he had just woken up. She didn't expect it was really a cold.
"Aren't you iron strong? Even you have such a day," Jane said gleefully, "Stay away from me, don't pass it on to me."
Upon hearing this, James quickened his pace to get out of bed. Pregnant women shouldn't be around patients. If infected, it could be really troublesome, as many medicines can't be taken during pregnancy.
Moreover, a serious cold could impact the development of the fetus.
"I'll go take some medicine, you lie down for a while longer." James got up and left the room.
"You were fine last night. How come you caught a cold overnight?" Jane casually asked. Seeing James leave, she snuggled back under the quilt and picked up her mobile phone.
