Aldana looked at him suspiciously, "Eric, what kind of trick are you playing?"
Eric looked down at her, "What's wrong?"
"I doubt if you really like me," Aldana rested her chin on the pillow, "I've never seen someone so eager to promote their rival in love."
Eric genuinely laughed this time, "I do like you, but now I know that liking you is not as important as making you happy." His smile deepened, and he added, "Anyway, you wouldn't like me, and I can't bear to let you spend your life alone."
It sounded so deep and touching, but Aldana felt nothing. She waved her hand and said to Eric, "You can leave now, I want to sleep."
She yawned.
Eric sighed lightly and reached out to support her arm, "Can you get up?"
Aldana nodded, gently placed her feet on the ground, exerted a little force, then grimaced as she endured the soreness while being assisted onto the bed by Eric.
Eric tucked her in, then said softly, "Well... good night?"
Aldana: "Good night."
