When Edward Anderson picked Bella Scott up from work, the first thing Bella asked was, "Do you think Tariq Lane looks like someone with a short life?"
Edward hesitated before replying, "With the kind of trouble he brings, he should be wreaking havoc for centuries."
"I think so too." Bella then told Edward about Tariq calling her earlier.
"He must have found something useful before being chased. If he doesn't survive this, the trail will be gone. It's hard to imagine that Tariq Lane might no longer exist in this world..."
Bella's voice gradually faded.
From the first day Tariq appeared by her side, he had caused a lot of trouble. Later, when he deeply hurt Cecelia Anderson, Bella had thought that Tariq would one day suffer retribution; such a person should not have a good end.
