"Tch... We're getting rebounded. They're using my bullets to fire back."
"I don't see how that is an issue..." Bronx would look over at Johanne upon such evaluation, looking over to see Axel raise his hand up, a silent response of 'let him think' to the problem. "Keep firing. I'll have Carta take advantage of their reversal if they try it against us." A silent command, while still retaining his smile as he'd let the Sniper take his shot, albeit changing ammunition so they won't deal with their own acidic cripple. Explosive rounds were fired out, a small flurry that began to surround and overwhelm, but nothing that Shady wouldn't catch and return to sender, with the children cheering on as they watch such a fumble, thinking Team Shroud did a false read. Only Adel was able to get a proper view over the Shadow and see the ship changing, shifting. Tierra would utilize the land's remains, miniature lasers to shoot and pierce through the bullets, forcing them to explode and break apart the barrier, pushing Zodiac Man into the Serpent in the impact.
"The hell!?!? What did it even hit us with?!" Adel shouted, his throat quickly invaded by the sheer cold, forcing the stars around to invade and warm up as he'd retreat back, seeing the mass of lasers come down once more. The Children tried to pilot their ride around, but so much could only be done with such little space. Hits against their sides, hits against one of their engines, nearly scraping it and causing severe damage to the entire ship. The maneuverability became a massive boon as they began to spin it, curving the light bombardment in the process. Had they not take this, they would've been just as out of the race as Sergeant Callkins. They were going to need a miracle, to which Solomon tried to have Shady fall back and reform under the lasers, using the light provided to create such a shadow and surround the top layer, extending down when need be, a shield that, while blocking their vision, would let them be immune to the direct damage. Once made, Shady would make his own call by absorbing the light and firing out in scattered shots everywhere, some heading towards Carta itself.
The Card Beast, in turn, began to change again.
It would break apart the outer layer of Tierra, slowly scattering the cards like a ring around it, as they take on a new monster. Hexagonal panels forming in each piece, taking advantage of the scattered lights and disintegrating the energy within, letting the planet absorb it and fire it back with double its strength, leaving a larger arch in its wake. "WAIT THAT'S ONE OF HARVARD'S! HOW DID HE GET THAT ONE!?" Solomon shouted, shocked to see the beast was able to copy it. Stolas couldn't believe what his friend said and checked for himself, his eyes wide open once he got a glimpse himself. As they tried to veer the ship away, hoping to make some distance and use the new material to deflect it back, it wouldn't be enough. A large slash was made across the ship, alarms blaring in the rear, forcing Applin and Fenrir to focus their efforts on repairs, letting Adel take the brunt so he could see the situation and be passed along the needed materials to fix the tear. The suction from such a void was strong, nearly pulling all three out, but the Vampiress was able to make some hammers and have them act as stakes to keep them from being ejected. Another arch was coming round, and they were just halfway from reaching the moon.
"PASS PASS!!"
A shout from the void, as a large mech flew between the group, catching the attack in full, the wings bending the light and hurling it to another. A mantis that would catch the attack next in its crescent blades, launching it like a disc to the next. A needle that pierced the light and spun it like a drill, the machine following suit before firing it at another. A set of horns that ping-ponged the set of lights, balling them up once more, setting up for the last: a mighty jump kick that used the entire framework to give the light a larger shape, a massive arrow that would force Carta to use both monsters to deflect and neutralize their own strike. Massive damage can be seen through the insides, letting them notice an atmosphere being built within the ship. It wasn't enough it took the shape of a planet, but housed the properties of one as well, letting them be immune to such Zero Gravity. The children were quick to leave the battle immediately, not wanting further damage dealt by the likes of the Card Beast, with Adel's last look seeing Tierra staring directly at him, as if he was being its next meal once more. "Aaaaand the cavalry's here! Lovely! We got five bogeys all around us." Axel proclaimed, pointing out the obvious as Janie reached through his sleeves and snatched his cane.
"Well, if you're not going to solve these bogies, then I will~. Focus on making sure Carta gets his timely meals, will you? He's getting awfully cranky without his food, y'now~." Her tone was as cheery as it was cold, immediately setting up a counter attack as it used Tierra to fire another laser, watching them take advantage and passing the attack along.
"Pass, PASS!"
"Pass, pass, pass!!"
"PASS IT!!"
Each one chanted as they took their turn sharing the attack, curving and swerving it like they were mere balls, as the Grasshopper aimed for another swift kick. In response, however, Carta would be given Midas and allow it to turn the panels to solid gold, shining before the massive spike of energy, before striking back in tandem. While it was unable to utilize its ability to destroy such energy and scatter it away so the other monster can use it, it was able to strike at the material and change it to a new metal. Its end result...?
KA-BOOOOOOM!!!!
An explosion that would break down one of the five machines that dared to stand against Team Shroud.
