"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! ARE YOU READY!?" Galileo's voice echoed as crowds of millions screeched their excitement. Broadcasting from the Circle to Outside, Markings made to act as a 'recorder' on the six teams. Tsukiya and Enenra watched on as they see the fourth, Team Treasure, suit themselves up and tighten their harnesses and belts. Pandora's would strike a pose for the viewers before leaping away to their personalized machines. Hope would have Germaine swing his bat over and over to signal that he was going to knock them down one by one, with Bonky and his friends acting as the viewers reactions themselves to both praise their leader and taunt or demean the competition. Ballista would have the army soldiers quickly run across, with the Sargent saluting to the viewers before stomping off to the machine, his back turned around to show no fear in his decisions. Sky would have their members quickly swoop in, hopping into their own ship, letting everyone see directly what it was:
A set of saucers, living rings that would cut through the sky like boomerangs, set to launch by a slingshot. Rocks before the celestial bodies above, David's against the skyward Goliath.
Shroud, meanwhile, demonstrates theirs with Carta quickly escorted out of its cage and splitting off, taking on each side of the ship and forming into a Monster. A massive sphere that started to take the Circle's consequences, the Morningstar's scars, as its own Biosphere. The Descendants watched on in shock and horror as they looked over to Harvard's unconscious body. "There's no way..." The Kitsune spoke, such thoughts of dread forming as she looked back at the screen and see it become exactly what it was: Tierra. The couple merely waved goodbye, as if they didn't possess an automatic win button in the form of the Codex Machina in Monster Form. They looked on towards the children in Treasure, their faces brimming with confidence. To the Descendants, they thought they went mad.
How did they not chose to give up upon seeing such a beast being in one's ranks?
"T-minus 30 Seconds! Start your engines and get ready to take flight!!" The announcement came like a bullet, each ship triggering one by one, taking aim at the sky. The crowd was counting down loudly, chanting each number as they punch into the air. Galileo watched on by the six screens at such inventions, such vehicles that will make them ascend. Never in his life would he be more proud than now to be a part of History once more. He'd bask under the sun as the seconds counted, raising his hands up high. "T Minus 20 Seconds!"
"Let's make sure to be civil to everyone." Adikon stated calmly, as if the roaring sound of the ship wasn't deafening. "It's going to get violent once we do the first course. No doubt they'd want to start shooting as we reach for the moon."
"To shine a better Tomorrow! To forge our past and cut through the future! That is what a sword is! That is what a sword will be! Musa-Schiashers, get ready!" Kozen's words were louder, making a cutting motion with his arms, his team following suit, holding at the shifts and wheel to prepare their ascent.
"KNOCK 'EM ALL DEAD! EVERY! LAST! ONE OF THEM!! They wanna act tough? Let's show them what it means to be tough!" Germaine's words were simple, yet precise. A loud cheer was heard on his own end, his toxic vanity shining like marble in such competition.
"Orders are Made! Leave no stone unturned! Leave no marks behind! RAISE SOME HELL, MEN! OVER AND OUT!!" Callkin's bark was matched with a 'Yes Sir!' from every soldier available, saluting and making preparations around, while the hooded figure rested soundly at his chair.
"Remember your task, my friends. Take it easy when we fly, but don't hesitate to kill..." Johanne's words were softer, almost muted by the slowly encroached seconds. Even in such quiet words, they were still understood, with Bronx scoffing as he'd look out and see the children at the opposite end.
"T MINUS 10 SECONDS! COUNT THEM DOWN!! 10...! 9...! 8...! 7...!"
"ANY WORDS OF ADVICE, SOLOMON?" Stolas asked, as they'd brace themselves. Solomon merely shook his head, gave a thumbs up, and let the countdown go down. No words had to be spoken. They know they need to win, so he's choosing to save that breath until they make it.
"5...! 4...! 3...! 2...! 1!!!! LIFTOFF!!! GO, GO, GO!!!!" Upon such orders, each ship blasted off and took to the skies, piercing through the atmosphere as they flew up high. The saucers were launched and shot their own engines at the rings when they did, cutting through the rest and taking the early lead. As the clouds parted and the sky began to darken to a matte black, the smiling sun and the sorrowful moon visible, they became the first to see such theories become true. The massive Earth they lived on was orbiting around, albeit at an extremely slow pace. It was barely moving, yet it held its own field despite the large size, still seen as they went across the void. As everyone was more focused on such attention to make it through the first path, Stolas would be left awestruck as he'd see it with his own eyes.
So many stars, so many constellations. Nebulas of varying colors and shapes. The other planets far behind, all as he tried to reach his small talons out, wide open as he marveled such beauty. "Wow....." he'd mumble, his loving attention shared with Applin as she gets a proper glimpse of the universe before them. Solomon can't help but look back and smile, as he'd see his crew one by one be suckered into such celestial marvels. Adel and Fenrir would start to feel the effects of zero gravity, quickly unbuckling themselves so they can float around, 'swimming' to the window sides and get a better look.
It was like watching a painting before them. The competition almost became an afterthought as they realized they became the first of many to reach the stars.
