Natsuki: Kaneki... What's happening to you?
Flashback*
Natsuki: What do you mean he collapsed? And what do you mean demon half? Wasn't Kaneki already one with his other selves including Azuna?
Tohru: I don't know why it was Azuna-chan who appeared, I also don't know why he collapsed.
All 7: ...
Tohru: But one thing is certain, whatever he tried to tell me he was clearly desperate...

Natsuki's narration*
Ever since Tohru-san told us about what had happened inside of Kaneki everyone became completely worried.
The six of us were now sitting right beside Kaneki in his bed while Kotori-san is carefully watching the doors in case they shake.
Natsuki: Sigh~ To think the mood would change so quickly.
Since it was already 10 minutes since we had been told of what happened and how long we were just staring at Kaneki I had to break the silence.
Sachi: Yeah... What's happening to Kaneki?
Yuuka: I have so many questions.
Miku: We all do Yuuka-Oneechan.
Chikao: Nod~ What could've happened to Kaneki?
Shino: His condition is worsening, right?
With Shino's words we all went silent again as we stared blankly at Kaneki's body.
Deep inside him he is suffering and we can't do anything to help...
We weren't just worried, we're completely afraid of the worst.
"What is Kaneki suddenly drops dead" that thought repeated in my head over and over, it was just too much for me and everyone else is probably thinking the same thing.
Yuuka: ... Hey Natsuki-chan.
Natsuki: Huh? What is it Yuuka?
I was a bit surprised that Yuuka called out to me, but she had a reason.
Yuuka: Could you check up on the state of Kaneki's soul.
She wanted me to see the state, the colors of Kaneki's soul and... I didn't want to.
Natsuki: No... There's no way I can...
I didn't want to see his soul which is probably broken by now.
Yuuka: Natsuki... I know you don't want to, but can you do it for just a moment? I want to confirm something.
But it seemed like she had thought of something— No. That look on her face, and the color of her soul are telling me...
Natsuki: Yuuka... Are you suspecting something?
Yuuka: Yes. Please look into Kaneki's soul for a bit.
Seeing how determined Yuuka was to know the current state of Kaneki's soul.
I complied.
Natsuki: Well... Sure?
I activated my ability and looked deep into Kaneki's soul and inspected it's color and condition.
Although I expected it to be broken or glitching, Kaneki's soul was strangely...
Natsuki: No way. It's stable?
It was completely stable but the colors of his soul didn't match his colors before the incident happened.
After that I stopped looking into his soul and then looked towards Yuuka.
Miku: Hey Yuuka-Oneechan why did you made Natsuki do that?
Shino, Sachi & Chikao: Yeah. What are you thinking?
Yuuka: Just a moment.
Yuuka stood up and went through some of Kaneki's things and took out a piece of paper as well as some colored pencils too.
Natsuki's thoughts*
(Seriously what is Yuuka thinking?)
She placed the colored pencils as well as the paper right beside me before asking me—
Yuuka: How good is your memory of remembering details of othe people's souls?
Natsuki: Yeah? I do remember the looks of everyone's soul even if they change a little as well as Kaneki's.
Yuuka: Good in that case, please use these colored pencils to draw Kaneki's soul. And I want you to make three of them.
Sachi: Yuuka can you please explain your intentions?
Yuuka: Just trust me. I know what I'm doing.
I didn't understand why Yuuka wanted me to draw three pictures of Kaneki's soul but...
For some reason I felt like she was onto something.
Natsuki: Okay I'll do it, but can you be more specific?
Yuuka: Sure. First of all I want you to draw Kaneki's soul before he became one with Azuna preferably at a time when you saw the both of them separated and after you're done draw what Kaneki's soul once he and Azuna became one.
Natsuki: Sure?
I looked back during the time after Millie was exposed as the one who bullied Miku, at the moment where Kaneki's other self was separated and beside Kaneki.
As well as the time when Kaneki and his other half had became one with his other selves as well.
A few minutes later~
It took me. Few minutes but I was able to draw how I visually see Kaneki's soul onto the paper.
Shino: Woah.
Miku: I see why you took interest in Onii-chan.
Sachi & Chikao: So pretty.
Everyone admired my drawings, I drew Kaneki's "soul" as fire and by using the colored pencils provided and I was able to capture the many colors in Kaneki's soul.
Yuuka: So Which one here was Kaneki before he became one with his other half?
I pointed at the much darker fire on the right that represented Kaneki's soul before becoming one with his Demon half.
Sachi: So that's what his soul looked like, it's a bit fragmented isn't?
Natsuki: Yes. This was when he still hated himself a lot which is why it's a lot darker and from what we know he also split his own personality into a few more of himself which is why some parts are separated from the main flame.
Yuuka: And this lighter fire was when he became one with his demon half right?
Natsuki: Yes. It's a lot brighter since he started to heal and this was also how it looked when he figured he was in love with us.
All 6: ...
I definitely shouldn't have said that, because we're all aware of Kaneki's feelings the same way he was also aware of ours. It felt very awkward.
And Yuuka as well as Shino and Miku felt guilty again.
Yuuka: Ahem!
But she set her guilt aside and pointed towards the last fire drawing and unlike the other two which were a mix of many colors.
The last one, the demon half showed only a few yet brighter colors.
Yuuka: So this is his Demon half?
Natsuki: Yes. When we saw him separated from Kaneki back during the whole Millie situation, Azuna similar to Kaneki's soul was beautiful but also a bit brighter.
Chikao: If I were to guess, the reason why the colors are brighter was because—
Natsuki: Yes. Kaneki hated himself and despite Azuna loved himself.
Yuuka: I see... One last question
Natsuki: What is it?
Yuuka: Even if they weren't one, they were always sharing in the same body right?
Natsuki: Yeah? Why wouldn't the—
At that moment I realized something.
Yuuka: Natsuki?
Natsuki: Just a moment! Be quiet!
I looked into Kaneki's soul again and I finally realized something.
Natsuki: No way...
Miku: Natsuki? Is there something wrong?
Natsuki: Yes. How did I not realize this sooner?
Shino, Sachi & Chikao: What is it?
Natsuki: ...
I hesitated for a moment, but I told them with terror in my voice.
Natsuki: Azuna, Kaneki's demon half is the only one in his body.
Shino, Sachi, Chikao & Miku: What?!
Yuuka: Tch!
Miku: Hold on! What are you talking about?!
Chikao: Yeah?! Can you please explain?!
I nodded and began explained to them what I saw.
Natsuki: When I looked into Kaneki's soul, I tried looking for the colors of his human half and as we already know Kaneki and Azuna had became one so they were sharing the same soul.
Shino: That's right.
Natsuki: But as you can see on the drawing of the "mixed" fire that represented Kaneki's one soul all of the colors were all visible, but when I looked into Kaneki's soul now...
Yuuka: You only saw the part of Kaneki's soul which was Azuna.
Natsuki: Yes! That's exactly what I saw, although the colors were a lot darker. The colors I've seen was undeniably those of Azuna!
Yuuka's thoughts*
(I knew it!)
Yuuka: Damnit. This is very bad.
Sachi: Wait Yuuka you thought of this possiblity?
Yuuka: Yes. When Tohru-san told us about her encounter with Azuna, I questioned "why Azuna" and when she told us about him looking desperate and trying to say something... It must've been very important.
Natsuki, Shino, Sachi, Chikao, & Miku : And you—
Yuuka: Yeah I made a guess, and now that you confirmed that the demon half Azuna is the only one in Kaneki's body... I think I probably know what had happened nearly a week ago at Mato High's rooftop.
We all stared at Yuuka with anticipation as we waited for her to tell us.
Yuuka: This is just a guess but. It's possible that when we were going to reconcile with Kaneki at the rooftop, our actions were manipulated and if Kaneki had noticed our strange behavior he must've been distracted and whoever manipulated us... Must've caught him in a surprise attack which somehow affected Kaneki's soul.
Hearing her tell her theory of what could've happened, it was terrifying not just because of what could have possibly happened.
But also.
Natsuki: ... If that's what happened then half of Kaneki's soul is...
We feared that Kaneki's soul was—
Natsuki, Shino, Sachi, Chikao & Miku: Destroyed?
Yuuka: ...
Yuuka wasn't sure herself and just looking at her face I could tell she was as worried as all of a us.
Yuuka: I'm going to tell Kotori about this.
She got up and went to find Kotori-san to tell her about our discovery.
And to be honest...
Natsuki: Sigh~ I feel exhausted. Once Yuuka gets back, I'm going to ask her to teleport me home.
Shino: Oh... Well please take care Natsuki.
Miku: Nod~
Sachi & Chikao: Take care.
Natsuki: Thanks everyone...
And so after Yuuka told Kotori-san about everything, Yuuka made a Darkness travel puddle for me to use.
Yuuka: See you later Natsuki.
Natsuki: Yeah... See you later...

I jumped into the puddle and was sent home.
But even though I'm already at the front door of my home, the feat of loosing Kaneki was still in my mind.
Natsuki: Kaneki... Please be okay.
I could do nothing but beg.

Natsuki: Well time to go in.
And so Natsuki went inside her home to try and relax and get her fear filled thoughts out of her head.
