Yuuka: Hey Kotori-san... What do you mean you found a bright light on the other side of the doors?
Upon revealing that she had found a bright light behind the shaking doors.
The Higanbana girls all looked at with curiosity and a hint of nervousness.
Kotori: Well that's just it, a bright light appeared for a split second on the other side of my room's door when I tried opening it while the shaking was happening.
Miku: Are you sure it wasn't just the lights?
Kotori: I'm not sure, I'm certain. The lights were all off at the time so it defi cannot be our home's lights.
Natsuki: Maybe... Maybe it was a portal?
Yuuka: Yeah... Maybe that bright light— no, maybe the doors shaking means they temporarily turned into portals.
Shino: What made you two go to that conclusion?
Yuuka: I mean when Kaneki revealed the armor he made when we were planning our expedition, he did use the gym's front doors to get it.
Natsuki: Yeah. And when he actually opened it, we only saw black smoke inside.
Sachi & Miku: Yeah! I remember that!
Chikao: That's actually very convincing.
The Higanbana girls were convinced that the doors were portals, but while they talked excitedly about it.
Kotori: You could be right, but if they are... Then where do these portals lead to?
Kotori on the other hand was anxious.
Kotori: And more importantly, what's on the other side?
The possibility of the doors turning into portals made her anxious.
Kotori: And... Since the shaking doors are happening around the world... Does that mean...
It was due to the end of the world that was written and depicted in the murals, if these doors were indeed portals then the monsters from the murals depicting the end of the world can appear out of nowhere.
Natsuki & Yuuka S-Sorry!
Before Kotori would be fully consumed by fear, Natsuki and Yuuka immediately apologized to her.
Kotori: What are you apologizing for?
Natsuki: Well we did made you freak out.
Yuuka: Yeah... You were probably on edge for a while now with the whole possible end of the world and the situation with Kaneki as well as that guy as well.
Kotori: ... Sigh~ Yeah I really am... Let's just focus on fishing shall we?
Going any further about this topic will probably make everyone worried, and knowing this Kotori suggested focusing on fishing.
10 Minutes later~
And it was the right decision.

Miku: WHAT THE HECK! THIS FISH IS SO STRONG!
After 10 minutes since they stopped talking, Miku had hooked a fish which she was currently fighting while her friends and sister cheered her on.
Shino & Yuuka: You can do it Miku!
Sachi & Chikao: Reel it in!
Natsuki & Kotori: Hold on tight! Don't let the like break!
Miku: I know! Be quiet! I need to focus!
Miku's thoughts*
(This is definitely a huge fish, if I'm not careful my rod will be dragged into the water. Luckily I have a fairly strong grip, but I'll have to make sure my line doesn't break.)
Miku focused on her sight on the reel and slowly reeled the fish in, but obviously the fish is not going to let itself get caught without putting a fight.
Pull~!
It swam harder and started gaining distance again.
Miku: I won't let you!
Reel~!
In response Miku started reeling a bit harder.
(This might take a while— wait a minute.)
Suddenly Miku felt that the fish's pull gotten weaker.
(It's gotten weaker, in that case!)
Miku: ORAAAAA!
REEL~!
Miku began reeling the fish towards her very quickly and once it got to a certain distance.
Miku: ONEE-CHAN PLEASE HELP ME!
Kotori: Right!
She called for Kotori and once she grabbed onto Miku's rod.
Miku: Ready?!
Kotori: Yeah!
Miku & Kotori: ORAAAA!

They pulled hard with all their might which sent the fish out of the water.
All 7: IT'S SO HUGE!
And to their surprise the fish, a Brouwn Trout was super big, it's length was nearly half of Miku's entire body as and it's weight around—
Kotori: 25 Pounds or 11 Kilograms. Wow Miku you've caught a big one!
All 5: Congrats Miku!
Miku: Woohoo!
Everyone was overjoyed with Miku's catch, and what she did next was a bit surprisingly.
Miku: Okay let's release it.
All 6: Eh?
Natsuki: Why didn't you want to eat it?
Miku: C'mon we never really agreed to go fishing for food, we just did this for fun remember?
Kotori: Miku-chan does have a point, besides look at the mouth.
Miku: Yeah look.
The two Higanbana sisters pointed towards the mouth of the brown trout.
Natsuki: Woah.
Yuuka: 10 Hooks???
There were around 10 Hooks on the mouth meaning it had been escaped over 10 times until Miku caught it.
Shino: That probably explains why it didn't put a fight for longer.
Sachi: Yeah it must've been caught a few minutes or probably even an hour ago and escaped.
Chikao: It fought so hard, honestly yeah let's release it.
Miku: Yeah!
With the decision to let the fish go now decided, Kotori removed the hooks from the fish's mouth first.
Kotori: Alright! Done! Now heal!
With the hooks now removed, Kotori used healing magic to make the fish recover faster.
And once it had recovered Kotori gently placed the fish back into the water.
Kotori: Now you can go Mr. Fi—
Splash!
And upon doing so th fish swam away immediately and completely soaked Kotori.
Miku: Hahahaha! You got soaked Onee-chan—
Splash!
Kotori: Oops sorry that was an acci—
Splash!
Embarrassed Kotori splashed water on Miku once she started laughing at her, and in response Miku retaliated.
Splash!
And so the two sisters began playing in the water.
Natsuki: Should we join them?
Shino: We'll have to go home after this though, since we'll be wet.
Chikao: Wait a minute is getting wet a good idea though?
Yuuka: Oh who cares? Our clothes won't becoming transparent anyways, plus no one is nearby—
Splash!
Before Yuuka could finish talking, Sachi had splashed water on her.
Yuuka: Sachi you... YOU IDIOT I WASN'T DONE TALKING!
Splash!
Yuuka the joined in playing in the water.
Natsuki: Oh might as well.
Chikao: Sigh~ Oh well.
Shino: Let's go!
And so the rest of the Higanbana girls began playing in the water.
30 Minutes later~
After 30 Minutes had passed, the Higanbana girls hid underneath a nearby bridge all soaking wet.
Natsuki: Man we're all soaked.
Kotori: Haha! That was so much fun!
Miku: We should probably go back now.
Kotori: Yeah. Hey Yuuka-chan.
Yuuka: I know.
Splash!
Now that their little game had ended, Yuuka took out her darkness travel watch and teleported everyone back to the Higanbana household.

Miku & Kotori: We're home~!
But upon arriving the girls immediately felt the tight tension in the air despite the living room and kitchen being completely empty.
Yuuka: H-Hey you guys feel it too right?
Shino, Sachi, Miku, Chikao & Kotori: Yeah...
Aiya: Oh. You girls have returned
Aiya came down the stairs visibly shaking.
Miku & Kotori: Mom/Aiya-Mama?! What's wrong?!
Aiya: Go to Kaneki's room later once you girls get cleaned and change clothes, Tohru found something concerning earlier.
The Higanbana girls and Kotori tensed up upon hearing this.
Natsuki: Well... How bad can it be? C'mon guys let's go.
1 Hour later~
After an hour had passed and the Higanbana girls and Kotori finished taking their bath, they met up with Atsuo and Aiya in Kaneki's room sitting on the floor with Tohru in the middle.
Kotori: What happened?
Aiya: Well...
Atsuo: Your Mom will tell you.
Seeing how worried Atsuo and Aiya were looking, Kotori didn't pushed any further and approached Tohru.
Kotori: Alright girls let's go.
All 6: Nod~

As the pressed their fingers on the blade, their minds were transported into the sword and into Tohru's mind.
Tohru's mind*
Tohru: Hey girls.
Kotori: Mama?
Upon arriving the Higanbana girls and Kotori saw how Tohru was making a very worried and anxious face.
Tohru: Listen to what I have to say okay?
All 7: Nod~
Tohru: I was able to hear Kaneki-chan's voice and his Demon half in his mind.
All 7: You did?!
Tohru: Yes. But I couldn't understand a single thing he was saying, and when he was done talking his Demon half collapsed.
All 7: What?!
Hearingthat Kaneki's demon half collapsed within Kaneki's mind, the Higanbana girls and Kotori grew extremely worried.
