The next morning, when I woke up, I felt like shit because I fell asleep all coiled up and under the sheets. I had to stretch my body out on the floor to stretch and ease the tension in my muscles.
I could almost hear my bones creaking, but they weren't really. Everything was just stiff, and I needed to basically reverse that. Which is what I did for the next few minutes.
When I was done, I got up off the floor and stretched my arms up into the air and down one final stretch, arching my back slightly before releasing the last of the tension in my muscles. And the moment I finished, my mind went blank momentarily in a good way.
Once I'd recovered from my momentary lapse in thought, I shook my head to refocus and realised that I now had to go and face everyone after what happened.
Which I really did not want to do because that was just going to be so awkward.
