Survival would likely be so much harder for such a person, as the chaotic era became much more dangerous for everyone that it would affect.
Such a tiny thing could end up putting the life of such a person in more danger, or it could end up affecting those who would have usually relied on them.
There did exist such cases where Balancers would have to make those kinds of sacrifices to do what they did.
If they were serious and devoted to the path of a Balancer, then some things would not be so easy for them, and there would be times when they would have to sacrifice certain things in their life.
If they were aiming for something much greater as a Balancer, then it was more likely that they would have to sacrifice so much more than others to attain it.
That was just the reality for Balancers.
