Chapter 81 - The Return of...

AFO was smiling as he took the next-to-last quirk he was after. Called Bones. It was a simple yet dreadfully deceptive quirk that allowed the user to manipulate, condense, modify, and even project the user's bones from their body while retaining the ability to manipulate them. The previous user, a young adult called Kimimaro, was a sickly person who could only use his quirk to stabilize himself.

AFO kindly took the quirk from the youth and promptly killed him so that he wouldn't suffer anymore. He liked to believe that he was doing the youth a favor; however, it was his greed and desire that made him choose that quirk among billions. Known and unknown.

As AFO was leisurely traveling towards the last quirk on his list, a simple empowering quirk, he was stalled by his minion, Vulpus.

.

"What is it, Vulpus?" AFO demanded as he was just about to leave the small apartment that Kimimaro held himself in.

"Master," Vulpus saluted and spoke, "We are being watched."

"Impossible," AFO denied, "I have several jamming quirks active, and no one is near us that could be watching us."

"Master," Vulpus spoke certainly, "It's not a person that is watching us," he said before pulling out a knife and throwing it at the wall, "But a thing."

.

AFO looked at where the knife was thrown and saw a robotic scorpion appear. It was one of Six's Robo-scorpions. AFO growled and nodded his head to Vulpus, who used his quirk to get them to their safehouse. Just as the portal closed, Hawks and multiple pro-heroes kicked down the door.

Hawks watched as the rest of the heroes looked over the now-empty apartment, save for the corpse left by AFO. While the rest of the Heroes were scanning for any trace of AFO, Hawks was examining the corpse. His mind was wondering why AFO would steal this quirk when there were other, better quirks out there. That's when he realized why.

.

"He's dying..." Hawks muttered before walking back outside to make a call to Nezu and the HPSC.

[With Disaster, Veronica, Christine, Izuku, and Katsuki]

As the three adults plus the two teens were flabbergasted at what Six asked of them, they were in a precarious situation. Six was out cold, the adults were terrified, and the teens were trying to figure out what was going on. With Six out, they just lost their most valuable ally, and the adults knew it. As for Izuku and Katsuki, they were just worried about their father.

As the adults tried to figure out what to do, Izuku and Katsuki dashed towards their father. Worry was evident in their eyes. Soon, the adults figured that their primary worry was Six's mental health. And the fact that he had just collapsed.

.

"What happened?" Izuku asked as he checked Six's pulse. "Why were you pointing guns at Him?!"

"Probably some dumb shit," Katsuki said, not yelled, said.

"He was on the verge of starting a World War," Christine said, to the dismay of Veronica and Disaster. "He was willing to go to war for you two and his wives."

"Chrisie!" Veronica shouted after getting over her shock.

"It's better than keeping them in the dark!" She shouted.

"Let's not argue," Disaster spoke before an argument could break out. "Right now, Six is the problem. Or rather, his unconsciousness is."

"Thank you," Izuku said before Disaster held a hand up.

"Right now, his health is the priority," Disaster spoke that brokered no arguments. "He still has weapons of war on his person that we need to get."

"Where?" Katsuki asked as he began to search Six's person. Only finding his normal hidden weapons and knives.

"You won't find them like that." Disaster spoke as he knelt and pointed to Six's arm. "They're all in that." He said as he pointed to Six's [Pip-Boy]. Veronica and Christine moved to the side to talk.

"In that?" Izuku asked as he went to touch it, only to be smacked by Disaster.

"Don't touch it!" Disaster spoke as he looked over it with a fine-toothed comb. "Depending on the model, it could very well be booby-trapped to detonate if misused by anyone other than the one it is bonded to."

"Why would he have that on his arm!?" Izuku demanded.

"He's got to have a reason," Katsuki spoke calmly, not exploding with rage.

"Correct, he was gifted this by an old friend of his, not knowing what else to do with it." Disaster explained as he gently lifted Six's arm and rotated it. "It has served Six numerous times and has been a constant companion since he came to the Mojave. During his travels, it has been damaged, destroyed, or taken. So, to rectify this, he's resorted to modifying it to be only used by him and him alone. Normally, one could just remove it or transfer its contents to another; however, this one is the one Six personally modified. Not even I know what he did to it."

"Then what do we do?" Veronica, who had just finished talking with Christine, asked as they rejoined them. "We can't just let them be inside there if the need arises for them. And we don't know if Six is going to be mentally stable enough to just give them over once he wakes."

"Then we need to know how he is," Izuku spoke as he looked at his father in fear and worry.

"True," Disaster answered, "I have several ideas, but none of them are safe for a person. Even for Six."

"Then, the question is," Christine spoke slowly, "What can we do?"

"We could remove his brain?" Disaster asked and was immediately rejected.

"WHY WOULD YOU EVEN SUGGEST THAT?!?" Izuku and Katsuki shouted at Disaster.

"Well, he did have that happen at one point..." Veronica casually said while scratching her face. Christine and Disaster didn't bat an eye because they knew what the Mojave was like.

.

As for Izuku and Katsuki, they just glared at her and didn't ask how.
