Mrs. Hughes had just sat back down when she saw her son apologizing. She shot back up, rushed over, and yanked Felix Hughes to his feet.
"What's the big deal? So what if she's pregnant? Our Rose Shaw will give the Hughes Family a big, healthy grandson next year. We'll be aiming for two in three years!"
"Mom! Stop!" Felix Hughes tried to stop her, but it was too late.
He quickly looked toward Rose Shaw.
There was no expression on Rose Shaw's face.
Melody Monroe was startled when she heard this. 'What's going on? Didn't Rose say that Director Hughes didn't care about the issue of children?'
'He clearly hadn't communicated properly with his own parents! Or rather, he hadn't communicated with them about this at all.'
'Judging by Director Hughes's mother's behavior, she wants him and Rose to have a baby as soon as they're married.'
"Rose Shaw, my mom has no filter, please don't take it to heart. Can we talk about this when we get home? I'll explain everything clearly."
