It wasn't long before the leader and the rest of the team came sprinting out right on their heels.
Outside, the blazing sun shone high in the sky, dispelling the gloom and panic of the Snake Forest. The leader and his team collapsed on the ground, gasping for air, looking like they had just narrowly escaped death.
"Hurry and run! The snake swarm will chase us out here," Bai Xi urged, looking at everyone while still clinging to Ye Xiao's neck.
The leader waved his hand at Bai Xi while panting heavily. "Don't worry. The snakes won't leave the Snake Forest. The temperature outside is too high; they can't handle it."
Seeing the way Bai Xi and Ye Xiao were holding each other, everyone came to a silent realization.
So that was it. No wonder Ye Xiao was so agitated when he found Miss Bai earlier. It turned out they were a couple. A handsome man and a beautiful woman—they were quite a match.
