Without any mishaps, Bai Xi and her group arrived at the edge of the destination forest.
The forest wasn't large; one could walk completely through it in half an hour. Compared to the forests Bai Xi had stayed in before, the vegetation here was sparser, somewhat resembling the artificial forests she had seen in the past.
Left untended for a long time, the vegetation grew wildly and appeared a bit messy. But upon closer observation, the tallest batch of trees was spaced out evenly and orderly.
"Mu, was this forest planted by the village's ancestors?" Bai Xi asked curiously.
Mu smiled and shook her head. "How could our ancestors have such great ability? A forest that can grow in an arid grassland isn't something human power can achieve. It's a gift from the Heavenly Gods."
