Chapter 160: Kakashi And Obito
24 December - Konoha Year 36
The existence of Raiken had changed the plot and it no longer follow the original storyline, it even effect the canon character such as Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Obito.
In this world Kakashi still had his mom and Uchiha Obito are living with his parents instead of Grandma. While in the original story line, Obito are living with his grandmother but this time, he didn't need to because of Raiken action had changed many things.
First the war end too early and second Uchiha Clan had more wealth compared to other clan, just by becoming police officer they got paid with the same amount of Jonin ninja in the village.
This lead to Uchiha are having more middle class income compared to other clan and none of them are categorized in lower income class.
Although they have different childhood but eventually both Kakashi and Obito still meet each other even in this timeline. This also because Uchiha Obito and Hatake Kakashi are not far from each other, eventhough they were in different places.
Furthermore Hatake Sakumo is a Hokage and unlike Hiruzen who distanced himself from Uchiha Clan. He regularly visit them, part of it because of Raiken are the son in law of the current Uchiha Clan leader.
So today is the day that Sakumo are visiting them and he wasn't alone, his wife are also with him while bringing Kakashi along, at this time Kakashi are not yet wearing his famous mask yet. Maybe because he just 2 to 3 years old and didn't have a woman to flock him because of his good looking face.
At around this age, he didn't see any need to hide his face yet only when the aunt and big sister trying to kiss him on the cheek that he got fed up and finally wore a mask everywhere.
Kakashi sat near the corner of the room beside his mother leg, watching everything around him with a very serious eyes, he tried to be a little adult and his action were seen by many.
Some of the woman chuckled looking at his expression. He had a small rice cracker in one hand that he had been holding for some time without eating it, too busy observing everyone and for to eat it.
Suddenly the door was opened and a small little boy was walking with a loud voice.
"Hello Uchiha, miss me."
Kakashi can only tilted his head while looking at the boy. 'Is this boy brainwire normal?'
The boy was roughly around his age maybe 2 or 3 years old, round faced and already moving towards the crowd.
"Obito," called a woman.
"Oh mom is coming," said Obito while trying to hide.
Kakashi can hear the other woman talked about the boy.
"Hana son again."
"Isn't obito too lovely."
Meanwhile Kakashi who heard this have a big question that he kept on his heart.
Suddenly, something was bumped on him.
Thud!
"Agghh it hurts," Obito was crying.
Uchiha Hana found her son crying and can only sighed before moving towards hi son but Kakashi is faster.
"Tsch Crying baby," mocked Kakashi after getting annoyed with Obito.
His eyes found Kakashi almost immediately.
Kakashi looked back at him with his usual serious expression.
The boy stopped crying immediately, he walked in front of Kakashi and stopping with his face very close.
"Hi," said Obito.
Kakashi looked at him.
"Tsch," said Kakashi while looked a way.
The other mother looked at two boys reaction.
Feeling angry, Obito decided to play prank on him, he pointed at the rice cracker in Kakashi hand.
"That mine," said Obito.
"It is not yours," said Kakashi, pulling it slightly closer to himself.
Obito sat down directly in front of him. "Oh I thought you are an Idiot."
"You are an idiot," replied Kakashi angrily. He never thought someone could make him angry like this.
Obito smiled and introduced himself.
"My name Obito," he announced.
Kakashi looked at him for a moment.
"Kakashi," he replied.
Obito pointed at him.
"Kashi," said Obito.
"Ka-ka-shi," said Kakashi carefully.
"Kashi," repeated Obito, apparently satisfied with his version and seeing no reason to adjust it.
Kakashi looked at him with an expression that was already marked him into 'annoying boy' but because he was infront of his mother and wanted to protect the image of his father as Hokage, so he tried his best to calm himself down.
Obito spotted a wooden toy near the edge, he reached over and picked it up and immediately held it out toward Kakashi with both hands the way small children offered things when they decided they liked someone.
Kakashi looked at the toy and then at Obito.
"Take it," said Obito.
It took 10 second before Kakashi finally take the toy from him.
Obito beamed at him with happiness of a two year old who had just made a friend and considered the matter fully settled.
Kakashi turned the toy over in his hands and said nothing but he did not move away either and after a moment he held the rice cracker out toward Obito in return, not because he had decided to share it but because somewhere in the logic of being two years old it seemed like the right thing to do.
Obito took it immediately and ate half of it in one go.
Kakashi mother glanced over and smiled at the sight of her son sitting quietly beside another child.
"I am so sorry, he just ran over," said Hana Uchiha.
"Please do not apologize," replied Kakashi mother warmly, watching the two of them. "I think Kakashi needed the company at this age."
"I hope they can become best friend," commented Hana.
"Me too," said Kakashi mother. She knows Kakashi acted differently compared to other child because his father is the Hokage.
Meanwhile Obito was attempting to show Kakashi something by stacking two small objects on top of each other, explaining his method in detail and largely incomprehensible way that toddlers explained things, and Kakashi was watching him with those serious eyes and occasionally nodding as though he was following every word.
