Chapter 98: Leaving A Seed

Uzumaki Raiken House – Konohagakure
Raiken slowly awake from his sleep, because of how comfortable he feel at the moment. He feel lazy and didn't want to raise from his bed too early. For a moment, he lay still, staring at the ceiling, wondering why his heart felt so warm and steady.
Then he realized why, he had gotten married yesterday and someone was sleeping soundly beside him.
Turning his head slightly, he saw Mikoto sleeping peacefully next to him. Her breathing soft and even, looking at his sleeping wife are the most moment of peace he had ever felt after arriving in this world
He watched her in silence, he feel lucky to have her and got married with her and yesterday his livestreaming are full of man who voiced out their disappointment because Raiken manage to get married with Mikoto.

Raiken could not put into words the kind of peace he felt at this moment. His cheeks warmed as memories from the previous night surfaced, causing him to look away briefly before remembering Mikoto is his wife and what he just remembered are not something shameful.

He wanted to cook but after seeing the condition of his body which are still sticky and grimy because of planting the seed with his wife last night, he decided to wash first.
Raiken headed to the bathroom and took a long shower. Warm water washed away the faint stickiness from his skin, along with lingering fatigue. As he stood there, he planned to make Japanese Curry Chicken but then changed it into onigiri, the japanese curry chicken would make a lot of sound and he doesn't want to wake his wife too early.
Last night farming battle was so intense that he felt sorry for his wife, so onigiri, soup and green tea is the best breakfast menu he could think at the moment.
By the time he finished, his body felt refreshed, his mind become more clear.
Raiken tied his towel robe properly and stepped into the kitchen. He moved with ease, lighting the stove and preparing ingredients. Though he was not a professional cook, he had recipes and instant mastery on his live channel.
He buy recipe first then clicked instant mastery, this recipe will make his culinary at least on a 5 star hotel chef.
Just as he began working, he sensed something behind him.
Turning his head, he saw Mikoto peeking at him from the hallway.
"Anata… I'm sorry. I should be the one cooking," she said softly, guilt could be heard from her voice.
a/n: Anata (あなた): This is the classic "dear" or "honey." While it literally means "you," when used by a wife, it is a term of affection.
In this feudal era, it was customary for wives to cook for their husbands. Seeing Raiken preparing breakfast for her made her heart warm and she also felt a little embarrassed.
"My dear wife," Raiken said with a smile, "just sit. It'll be faster this way."
"I…" Mikoto hesitated. Then she remembered her own condition. Her body was just as sticky as his had been. "Anata…"
"Just call me Raiken," he said lightly. "Or honey. Or Raiken-kun."
"But Anata is more polite," Mikoto replied. 'also more romantic,' but that last word she didn't voice it out.
"I know," Raiken chuckled, "but I like it when you call me honey."
He paused. "Then I'll call you darling."
Mikoto nodded, her cheeks slightly red. "Husband… let me help...." but she she stopped when she noticed her body are sticky. "I... let me wash myself first."
"Alright, honey," Raiken replied with a gentle smile.
Mikoto turned and headed toward the bathroom, leaving Raiken alone in the kitchen, he also felt ashamed with the deed that they do last night and also understand why her wife wanted to take a shower first.
The sound of coking filled the quiet house, now Mikoto had woken up he changed his mind to cook something more sumptous. He cracked the eggs and pour it into a pan after that he put into a another plate.
Raiken put more oil, chilli, onion, salt and soy sauce. Stirred it for a while before pouring a rice meant for two people and a few minutes later fried rice is completed.
The smell of the fried rice and egg in the morning are very good, his stomach gurgled. Luckily Mikoto had finished shower and come to the kitchen.
"Husband, you are very fast," commented Mikoto.
"Taste first," said Raiken while prepared the fried rice and egg on the table.
Both of them took a seat, Raiken are facing Mikoto.
"Wife, taste it first," said raiken while passing the chopstick.
Mikoto take a chopstick and taste the egg and fried rice.
"My dear husband, this is the best fried rice I have eaten," Mikoto smiled while eating.
"Thank you," smiled Raiken.
At this time, Raiken for the first time in his life felt the beauty of marriage.
