Chapter 12 - Red Moon Coven

"Beatrice is dead, she was killed by another witch from the White Rose coven" A frail lady with wavy caramel colored hair relayed to the six other figures present in the room. There were five women, and a single man.

"She was a failure anyways, she was barely recognized as part of the order" The woman at the extreme remarked. She couldn't be more than thirty. She was clearly the youngest in the room, and the only person who had a lot to say about the deceased witch.

"We shouldn't speak ill of the dead Natasha " The man beside her reminded. He was blonde, well built, and was looked slightly older than the lady he had just apprehended. "Even though she was a disappointment, she had died while carrying out her duties, we should respect her for that" He added.

Natasha scoffed and rolled her eyes. She had no intentions of respecting or wasting her condolences for the weak. For someone her age, Beatrice was supposed to be powerful, but she was a complete letdown. The only reason she had been accepted into the order of the Red moon coven was because of her experience. She used to be the oldest member of the coven, but she was dead now, and Natasha couldn't care less about her anymore.

"And the specimen? Any news regarding it's whereabouts?" Another lady from the seated six inquired of the frail standing one.

"From the information I have, it was recaptured and sent back to the White Rose coven."

"Was any BioData collected from the target?" The same lady questioned.

"Yes, we've collected some of it's oral discharge and it has been sent to be analyzed and experimented on. You'll be informed of any further developments in the research"

"You're dismissed" Meredith, the inquisitive witch said to the reporter who lowered her head in a slight bow before exiting the room.

"So what do we do next?" Natasha asked.

"We'll have to wait until we've gotten enough information on how the White Rose coven managed to get their hands on something so powerful" Meredith answered.

"Why don't we just attack them and take what we want" Natasha suggested, but was met with a rather rude reply from another seated witch.

"Impatient child, it seems you've not understood the power they hold within their grasp. We shouldn't thread carelessly without a plan on matters concerning this particular monstrosity" Eve, the oldest looking witch amongst the rest spoke.

"I agree with Eve, we shouldn't jump into fights without first analyzing the full strength of our enemy. It's absurd to act without proper information" Sasha, another witch backed up the older one. She was young too, almost the same age as Natasha, but their looks and appearances differed greatly. While Natasha was dressed in bright colored clothes, Sasha's entire appearance composed of only one color, and that was black.

Natasha casted a wicked eye at the figure that had just recently spoke. With the look in her eyes, it was almost impossible to tell if they were allies or enemies. It was clear she detested the Lady she was currently glaring at greatly. If not told, there was no way one could figure out they were sisters.

"Eve and Sasha are right, we shouldn't jump to fights without knowing what our enemies are capable off, nor should we try to hex each other especially not in a meeting" Marcus stated after realizing the death stare between the sisters. He was their cousin, and unlike the two sisters he got along with them pretty well.

The two of them were powerful witches from one the three reputable witch families. It was no surprise they were already a part of the order at such a young age. Their potential was unrivaled throughout the entire Red moon coven, and their power were rumored to be on par with those of the two elder witches Eve, and Meredith.

"It seems we've run out of topics to discuss, you're all dismissed" Meredith concluded and vanished the instant the finished her sentence. Eve followed suite and soon everyone was disappearing besides Marcus and the sisters.

"Must you oppose me in everything I do?" Natasha questioned her sister the instant the others were gone.

"Your suggestion was a foolish one, I only supported a wiser one" Sasha replied. Her voice was cold and devoid of emotions.

"Are you implying that I'm stupid?" Asked the visibly enraged Natasha.

"Let's not do this girls, members of the same coven shouldn't be fighting, it's against the rules" Marcus reminded before inserting himself in-between the two sisters.

"I do not have time for your puerile games, you should focus your time into working on your intellect than arguing with me" Sasha advised before becoming one with the wind.

"Do you think I'm stupid Marcus?" Natasha turned to the remaining figure for answers.

"Absolutely not, I just think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That they didn't agree with yours doesn't mean you're any less intelligent than they are" Marcus answered. He was definitely hiding a bit of the truth. He only told Natasha what she wanted to hear. If he didn't do so he'll just end up on her hate list, and he didn't have the nor the energy to bail himself out.

"That's exactly what I was thinking too" Natasha concurred with her cousin's words. She wasn't stupid, she convinced herself. Her opinions and ways of doing things just differed from the rest. "Let's go, we can't let that meanie get stronger than us" Natasha urged before taking a hold of Marcus's hand.

It wasn't known who would win in a fight between the sisters, but Natasha was always confident in saying she would win. She had definitely showed some impressive feats to back up her claims, but nobody could be sure. Natasha was wild and loved to show off, while Sasha rarely displayed her powers publicly.

Marcus yielded to Natasha's words and allowed her to teleport them to wherever she intended. He knew it was to train, and even though he wasn't in the mood, he would just spar with her for a while before feigning defeat.
