Charlotte Allison and Ivy Price were drinking soup in the backyard, while Evelyn Sheldon returned to the front yard after receiving a message from the fifth Miss of the Moss Estate.
The two of them were chatting about the company's recent affairs. Once they finished their soup, they took their bowls back to the corridor leading to the kitchen and saw Mrs. Quinn not far away by the small pond, talking on the phone. Her butler stood about a meter away and was the first to notice Charlotte Allison.
The old butler must have said something to Mrs. Quinn, who then looked over, her eyes landing directly on Charlotte Allison. She then said something and hung up the phone, said a few words to the butler, who started walking towards Charlotte Allison and called out, "Miss Allison, please stay a moment."
Charlotte Allison paused, stacking her bowl on top of Ivy Price's and said, "Sister-in-law, you go back first."
