The autumn wind was crisp and clean, the sun warm and gentle.
The women of the Sharp and Lockwood families had all gone out. After finishing up some company emails at home, Ryder Sharp stepped into the yard and was stunned for a few seconds to see Sebastian Lockwood helping Nathaniel Lockwood dye his hair.
Sebastian Lockwood asked, "Sharp, heading out?"
"Going to check on the club."
"Wait for me a few minutes. We'll go together."
Sebastian Lockwood didn't really want to stay with his father. They didn't have much to talk about, so he figured it was better to get on Ryder Sharp's good side first.
Nathaniel Lockwood knew his son well. He watched the two of them leave together without a word.
Still, he was happy in his heart that Sebastian Lockwood and Ryder Sharp were back on good terms, as if nothing had happened.
After applying the dye, his hair needed some time for the color to set.
