After Sydney Sawyer finished speaking and received no response, she tilted her head up to look at the person beside her.
But in the next second, Sebastian Lockwood suddenly turned his head and pecked her on the lips.
"Why did you suddenly…" Sydney Sawyer pursed her lips.
"Syd."
"Hm?"
"Your pajama buttons."
Sydney Sawyer looked down. Because Sebastian Lockwood came over often, she always chose conservative pajamas—usually a top and bottom set. But she had been so distracted today that she hadn't even noticed she'd buttoned them wrong.
One side of her collar was slightly open, revealing a small patch of skin on her collarbone.
This was a little awkward.
"How could you even mess up the buttons?"
Sebastian Lockwood chuckled, reaching out to tug at the asymmetrical hem of her pajama top.
"So absent-minded."
