Sydney Sawyer heard a commotion downstairs and pulled Lauren Brooks along to check it out.
"Hey, sis," Yancy Hale greeted her. When he saw the person behind her, he waved enthusiastically as well.
Lauren Brooks leaned closer to Sydney Sawyer and whispered, "Is this...?"
"That's the one I was talking about, the one who's like a little brother."
"He's like a big dog. Can I pet him?"
"You can try."

Ronald Sharp was in high spirits today. With two likable young people visiting, he opened a bottle of wine for a little mood-setting drink. But then he ran into Yancy Hale, a real boozehound, who insisted on having a few good drinks with him.
In front of his elders, Yancy Hale wouldn't drink himself into a stupor. He was quite restrained and wouldn't get completely wasted.
Most importantly, Ryder Sharp's death glare terrified him, so he didn't dare get too wild!
He was much more subdued tonight.
