Sylvie Lockwood actually wanted to ask a few friends to go out over the weekend.
But most of her close friends were married. Weekends were for family time. If they went out, they usually brought their whole families along. She had even accompanied a friend to some sort of early childhood education class.
The conversations were either about showing off their love lives, planning weddings, or raising children, so Sylvie Lockwood couldn't get a word in.
Her group of friends would say, quite self-righteously:
"We're summarizing our experiences for you. When you get married and have kids, you'll be able to avoid a lot of pitfalls. It's good for you to listen."
And before this group of friends got married and had kids, they had all sworn they would never post pictures of their babies on their social media.
Now, her social media feed, especially during holidays:
Was a disaster zone of baby pictures!
