A hand grabbed my arm before I made it to the door, forcing me to the sinks.
"What the fuck did you say?" Ivy pushed me against the wall, her teeth bared and face contorted in disgust.
"I'm Ivan's mate," I showed no fear. Others had that luxury; I didn't, and I was proud to be with him.
Ivy was a werewolf, and it wouldn't take much to do more damage, but she didn't scare me like Jackie did.
"As if Alpha Treyson would have someone like you," she sneered, not letting go of my arm.
"Why not?" I wanted to find out. The only other female werewolf I knew was Taylor, and she's biased.
How would other werewolf females receive me?
"You're human," and that one sentence changed the tension in the room.
I saw it in her friends. Liz moved away, and the others seemed uncomfortable.
"Racist much?" Was it me, or was the bathroom getting warmer?
