In a room lit by candles, a round table stood at the center, surrounded by flickering candlelight.
Several half-beast demons entered the room and took their seats around the table, waiting for Fullus and Plifer to arrive.
One of the men spoke when he realized the two of them had not arrived yet.
"Is what Plifer said really true? It's impossible for a human to possess both demonic and magical powers at the same time. Humans can't have those powers."
"We half-beast demons don't even possess both abilities. Demonic power alone is already dangerous enough, especially for humans."
"There's no way that boy possesses such incredible power."
"Can all of you stop arguing?"
Grilly's voice echoed across the room as she sat in the chair reserved especially for her.
"We'll hear the truth directly from Fullus and Plifer. They're the ones investigating the boy."
The room immediately fell silent.
A moment later, the door slowly opened.
Fullus entered first, followed by Plifer.
Plifer quietly closed the door behind him to make sure none of the children outside could overhear their discussion.
Fullus placed several books on the round table.
Everyone stared at them in surprise.
"Lylia, please distribute these books."
The half-blind young girl stepped forward with a gentle smile.
Using her magic, she floated the books through the air until everyone received a copy.
Once she had finished, she quietly returned to stand beside Plifer.
The half-beast demons opened the books.
Every page contained information about the mysterious boy who had become the hottest topic in their world.
They stared at Kei's picture in disbelief.
He didn't resemble a magician.
Nor did he resemble a half-beast demon.
He looked...
Completely human.
So how could he possess both magical and demonic powers?
"As all of you can see from the picture, the boy has two names. In the human world, he is known as Kei. His full name is Siumi Keishii, but his real name is Drieshan Keishii."
Grilly stared at Fullus in disbelief.
His serious expression told her he wasn't joking.
"How do you know he's the son of the Magician King?"
one of the chiefs sitting beside Grilly asked.
"His grandmother came here a year ago."
"She returned the book Ability to Use Power."
"And now..."
"Keishii is using that very book to awaken his powers."
Fullus answered calmly.
"His grandmother?"
"You don't mean..."
"Drieshan Nori?"
Everyone froze upon hearing that name.
"Yes."
"It was Drieshan Nori."
"She came here and left me a message before the Chief and the Empress discovered her presence."
Fullus turned toward Grilly, who had become the acting Empress after the King was killed and the Queen was taken away by the Demon King.
"What message did she leave?"
Grilly asked.
"When her grandson turns seventeen..."
"The Demon Monsters will return during the Dark Moon."
"They'll most likely search for her grandson."
"Before she left..."
"Drieshan Nori asked us to protect him."
"That boy..."
"Drieshan Keishii..."
"The last son of King Drieshan Keshin and Queen Drieshan Vorina."
Silence filled the meeting room.
No one spoke.
Every chief stared at Fullus in complete shock.
"Why didn't you tell us any of this sooner?"
Grilly suddenly raised her voice.
Fullus immediately lowered his head.
"I'm sorry, My Empress."
"Lady Drieshan Nori forbade me from telling anyone."
"She didn't want the Chief or the Empress to know she had returned."
Fullus bowed deeply.
Plifer and Lylia also lowered their heads, even though Plifer himself had never known about it.
"Why?"
"I thought she died together with the King..."
Grilly whispered.
"No."
"Before he died..."
"King Keshin used the last of his magic to send Drieshan Nori and Prince Keishii into the Human World."
Fullus answered.
The room became even quieter.
Everyone struggled to believe what they had just heard.
"Fullus."
"I want to know everything."
"I don't want you to hide anything from us anymore."
Grilly's voice softened.
Her heart burned with frustration.
She had never known the truth behind the King's death...
Nor what had happened to the missing prince two hundred years ago.
Fullus slowly looked around the room.
Every chief...
Every commander...
Every pair of eyes...
Were waiting for his answer.
He took a slow breath.
Then he glanced at Plifer.
Plifer had helped him from the very beginning.
Although...
Plifer still hadn't told anyone about the second mark he had seen on Kei's neck.
"Please forgive me..."
"It took me two hundred years to reveal the truth."
"But today..."
"I'll tell you everything."
He slowly closed his eyes.
"I will summon the spirit of Drieshan Nori."
"Don't Fullus!"
Plifer behind him blocked Fullus.
"Why summon Drieshan Nori's spirit?"
Grilly asked.
"Because she has died in the human world due to his old age."
Tell Fullus.
"Died?"
Grilly asked puzzled.
"In the human world, their time is faster than the time in the magic world."
Fullus explained.
"Then let me guide you to summon Drieshan Nori's spirit. You've used too much of your power."
A man next to Grilly.
"Thank you Slieve."
Grilly smiled at her brother.
"Start Fullus."
Said Slieve.
Fullus nodded.
"O queen of spirits .. O queen of spirits .. I want to meet the spirit of Drieshan Nori. Call her and put her in my body."
Fullus called out the name of the queen of spirits.
Light came around Fullus and Slieve.
"O queen of spirits .. I want to meet the spirit of Drieshan Nori. Call her and put her in my body .."
Fullus repeated a second time.
"I'm ready to go inside your body."
The voice greeted Fullus's ear.
"Please ..."
Fullus said slowly.
The light gradually disappeared.
Fullus let go of Slieve's hand, he opened his eyes.
Fullus smiled at everyone in front of him.
"Sorry to keep you waiting for my arrival."
A woman's voice came out of Fullus's mouth.
"Drie-Drieshan Nori!"
Shouted the chief there. Nori smiled.
"Drieshan Nori .. Tell us everything, I don't want you to ride in my son's body for too long."
Tell Grilly with a worried face.
"All right, Empress Grilly."
Nori nodded understandingly.
"I'll tell you a short story but clearly."
Nori sat in the chair in front of her.
"Time before the destruction of the palace. The king has announced to the people in the palace about the presence of the devil monster in the dark moon."
"The king asks the magician to protect you, half -beast demon. After an hour the magician is in their place and the king also protects the queen and his son."
Nori told the story by placing her palm on her chin.
"After a few hours waiting for the arrival of the devil monster. King Keshin approached queen Vorina who was again supporting their son."
"They stared at they babies face for the last time and I came wanting to meet the king and queen but suddenly a black shadow was behind the king."
Nori held back her anger.
"The king of demon came with two of his men. They tried to capture the queen and her son. But the king managed to use his power to stop them from kidnapping the queen."
"While the queen came to me, the king was stabbed by a subordinate of the devil king. The queen left their children to me, and the king sent me into the woods. "
"Baby Keishii cried in fear until a human woman came to us. I thought, I might die here. But the woman saved me and Keishii."
"Until now, Keishii was raised by humans without harboring hatred and even taking care of Keishii like a child them and finally my day has arrived, I didn't have time to teach Keishii to use his powers."
Nori saw Keishii's face in the book.
"Why did you say you didn't have time? Wouldn't that power come on its own even if you didn't ask."
Grilly asks, she wonders why the boy never used his power.
"Because I lock the djin and the demon. I don't want the demon king to know that the son of king Keshin is in the human world. The boy is the last and I don't want the boy to die without seeing his new world."
Nori looked at Grilly's face.
"I heard from Fullus, that you don't believe Keishii is the last magician, do you?"
Nori let out a small complaint.
"Did you forget? Keishii is the son of both a magician and a half-beast demon."
Nori continued, her voice calm.
Grilly nodded slowly.
"I remember. But I never imagined that the boy was the son of the late king and queen."
"The king and queen never had the chance to introduce their son to the people of the Magic World. Keishii originally inherited the appearance of both races. He had the horns of a half-beast demon and the body of a magician."
"However, human mercenaries invaded our world and placed a curse on the prince, forcing him to become completely human. That is why humans became our enemies."
Nori finally revealed the truth.
"How were humans able to enter our world?"
Slieve suddenly asked.
"Long before King Keshin married Queen Vorina, he had promised the Human King that he would protect the Human World. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep that promise."
Nori paused for a moment.
"Because of that failure, the relationship between both kingdoms collapsed. Peace turned into hatred."
"The Human King later learned that King Keshin and Queen Vorina had a son named Drieshan Keishii."
Her eyes darkened.
"Fearing that the prince would one day become the strongest magician, the Human King secretly hired a dark magician to place a curse upon the child."
Silence filled the meeting room.
Everyone lowered their heads.
None of them had expected the truth to be so cruel.
Grilly slowly looked at Nori.
"So... the curse turned him into a human?"
Nori nodded.
"Only his appearance changed."
She smiled faintly.
"His magic... his blood... and his destiny never disappeared."
She looked around the room.
"That is why Fullus believed in him."
Her gaze landed on Fullus.
"He still carries the blood of the royal family."
"And he is still the last magician."
The room fell silent once again.
Nobody dared to question Nori anymore.
Grilly slowly stood up and approached Fullus.
"Nori..."
She gently held Fullus's hand.
"I will guide the king and queen's son."
Nori smiled warmly.
"My grandson..."
Her voice trembled slightly.
"He is the only one who can end this war."
She gently touched Grilly's cheek.
"Please take care of him."
"Don't let him choose the wrong path."
Grilly nodded.
"I promise."
A warm light slowly surrounded Fullus's body.
Nori smiled one last time.
"I have to go now..."
The light gradually disappeared.
Fullus slowly opened his eyes.
He looked around the room.
Grilly was still holding his hand tightly.
A tear rolled down her cheek.
"You did it, Fullus."
She hugged him.
Fullus smiled gently.
"Not yet, Your Majesty."
He looked toward the window.
"We haven't succeeded yet."
"Our real battle..."
"...has only just begun."
The meeting room became completely silent.
Everyone understood one thing.
Their fate now rested on a seventeen-year-old boy...
Drieshan Keishii.
