The father and son chatted for a while longer, then Mr. Duan went upstairs to rest, and Duan Xingzhi also went upstairs to check on the child, only to find out the child wasn't in his room.
Duan Xingzhi couldn't help but chuckle silently, seeing that the Old Lady had brought the child to their room to sleep.
Since that's the case, let him sleep there.
He had just lain down on the bed when his phone started ringing.
"Xiao Bai."
"Where are you guys? I'm about to finish." Bai Zhi asked while tidying up her things.
"At my place."
Duan Xingzhi spoke calmly, but Bai Zhi was momentarily stunned, taking a while to react before asking again, "Where did you say you are?"
Duan Xingzhi's lips slightly curled up, thinking about her current expression, which suddenly improved his mood, "At my mom's place, I'll wait a bit and head over to pick you up."
"No need." Bai Zhi walked out with her bag, her voice very low but full of anger, "How could you take him to your house? Are you crazy?"
