Tessa peeked through her fingers at Faye, who had suddenly stopped in her tracks. She was fake crying because she knew Faye couldn't stand to see her cry.
That's why she covered her face with her hands, whimpering and sobbing.
There wasn't a hint of wetness in her dark eyes.
Worried that Faye might catch on, she thought for a moment and pinched her thigh hard.
It hurt, it hurt a lot.
She gave up the act and quickly said to Faye, "Stop it, there are people outside."
"No one will come in."
"Why don't you go and check outside, I'm sure there are people." Tessa panted, looking pitifully at Faye.
Faye frowned, pressed her lips together, and then stood up.
He opened the door, and sure enough, two servants were standing there; his face fell slightly, but he said nothing, just walked away.
Before he left, he said, "You guys can go in later."
If someone had really been there, Tessa would have died of embarrassment, so better to let her be comfortable.
