Faye remained silent, seemingly about to hang up the phone again.
Tessa Caldwell sensed it and quickly spoke in a melodramatic tone, "Mr. Carver, you're not allowed to hang up the phone. I'm feeling very melancholic and sad right now, haven't you noticed? Don't you think you should comfort me a bit?"
Faye replied indifferently, "Didn't notice!"
Although he couldn't see her, he could almost imagine her actions. Someone who always preferred sitting to standing, lying down to sitting, was definitely lounging on the sofa right now, probably leisurely swinging her feet with a lazy, languid, carefree demeanor.
And here she was, shamelessly claiming she's melancholic and mournful.
This little rascal who lies without blushing!
