Yet, not even three minutes later, when she saw a servant carrying coffee to deliver to Faye in the study, she immediately took the coffee from the servant's hand and then walked into the study, pretending.
She placed the coffee on the desk and called out, "Mr. Carver."
Faye heard her voice, looked up at her, then looked at the coffee.
Then he lowered his head to continue reading the documents, completely ignoring someone's presence.
