Chapter 2236 - More Frequent

The group continued north for another two days after leaving the roadside settlement. The further they went, the less familiar the land became. Snow still covered much of the ground in uneven patches, but the forests grew thicker and the terrain more broken. They passed fewer towns. The ones they did see were smaller and more spread out, with watchtowers that looked recently reinforced and walls that showed clear signs of hurried repairs. Smoke rose from a few chimneys, but the roads below were mostly empty.
