The battle outside the Serenade Faction continued with rising intensity.
With the lower-stage Gnomes already in full retreat, only the Peak Sovereigns remained locked in fierce combat. The human army chased the fleeing lower ranks while the high-level fight dragged farther from the Faction walls. The sky above the open ground was filled with residual elemental light and the distant echoes of ongoing clashes.
On the Peak Sovereign battlefield the Gnomes were clearly on the back foot. The death of the injured Peak Sovereign had left them four fighters short, and the disadvantage showed in every exchange. Their movements had grown more cautious, their attacks more conservative. They no longer pressed forward with the same aggression they had shown at the start of the engagement.
