Vivian Bell blushed with embarrassment. She hadn't expected to forget something. She quickly walked over and took the bag.
Mrs. Bell stood to the side, noticing this handsome young man, and her eyes lit up. She walked over and asked, "Are you Vivian's friend?"
Felix Rhodes nodded, "Good evening, ma'am."
"Oh, you must be tired from bringing Vivian back. Come in and have a seat."
"That won't be necessary; it's too late."
"Oh, come on," Mrs. Bell said, "Our Vivian has no manners at all. You've worked so hard to bring her home, yet she doesn't even invite you in for a cup of tea."
"..." Listening to her mother criticizing her in front of Felix, Vivian felt extremely awkward, "Mom."
Mrs. Bell was already pulling Felix in through the door.
Vivian watched the scene, nearly fainting.
