Chapter 6 - °Six•Finally Out°

I can finally get out of the house! I'm healed! It's been days since I saw the sunshine face on! I'm so excited to look around. It feels like it's been forever since I took a walk in the park. During the few days, I got a phone call regarding my smashed car, I don't think I will need it as of now so I decided to dismiss it and pay for the repair.

I looked through my old files, none of them were really worth keeping, so I deleted them one by one. I was also double-checking, incase I wanted to keep some memories with my old friends before things went South.

"Ouuu, who's that pretty guy," Rhea spoke. She was behind me which scared me a little. Just a little bit. I rolled my eyes and pushed her face away with my finger on her cheek. "That's an old friend."

"Don't you talk to them anymore?" she took a seat beside me and asked. I shook my head, "Nope, not even a single one of them."

"But why? They seem nice," she pointed out. "Really? I guess they do give out that aura. We lost contact, well they did but I never reached out to them after. That's because things changed, I'm not who I was."

"Ooh, so mister mysterious, who were you?" Rhea teased. That's a question that got me thinking, who was I? Someone who's always fun and cheerful? Someone who's always making friends and had girls tied around my waist? Someone, who have guys dropping their pants for? No way in hell am I going to tell her how I was in high school, no way I say!

"That, Rhea, is not something you should be worried about, it's also not worth pondering about," I nervously responded. She doesn't seem too satisfied with my answer with that facial expression she's giving me. I closed my eyes and pretended to shrug while looking away.

I heard a heavy sigh, "fine, keep it your way, mister mysterious."

"A question, do you even know my name?" I inquired. She looked at me and lingered for a moment, "nope," she replied with a popping 'p'. "And you never asked?" I questioned her.

"I don't need to, or I will get attached. So I won't know your name until the end of this 100 days," Rhea explained.

"Alright, whatever. Anyway, when are we going out?" I asked after deleting the final picture from my phone. I could feel her getting up from the couch and walked away, "now, we're going. You better be quick, I won't be waiting for you."

I smiled and got up, racing my own shadow upstairs to my room. I thought of the outfit I wanted and got it from the closet. Quickly slipped into the outfit before fixing my hair and heading out. I had a black t-shirt with a hood and pockets on with a pair of black joggers. Not going out to jog but I like the look.

I honestly don't think I remember how to communicate with humans anymore, I laughed at my own thoughts. How stupid can I be at times, haha? I shook the thought out of my head as I walked down the stairs. My hands in the pockets of the shirt and had my hood up, I whittled down. "Boo!" an obnoxiously loud sound pierced my ears the moment I reached the end of the staircase. I jumped slightly to the side to see Rhea giggling to herself.

I rubbed my ears slightly, "that hurt my eardrum!" I hissed. She jumped to my side and slipped her arms into my arm that was still in the pocket and pulled me with her. "You can get out now, so you should be happy!"

"I am happy," I mumbled. I walked with her as her arms are still linked to mine. "You sure have a funny way of expressing it," she muttered, obviously annoyed with my response. I nudged her slightly and shot her a small reassuring smile before walking normally.

We walked to a nearby park, there aren't many people there so it wouldn't be obvious that I'm with a spirit. I plugged my earbuds in my ear that's connected to my phone but no song playing. I walked along the sidewalk with Rhea and no one was saying anything, this is actually great.

"So Rhea, what makes you want to bring me out today? I know you said to take it as an apology but I know that's not all, or is it?" I asked her. She peeked a glance at me which I try so hard not to return, "just an apology, don't think so hard about it, okay?"

I responded with a hum. That kinda ended things off awkwardly. "Um.. do you think we can go out like this often?" I asked again. She nodded slowly against my arm, "yeah, why not?"

A side curve carved on my lips. That's good, I can enjoy more wind from nature than getting stuck in a house that's so happened to be in a tree. Does it consider a treehouse? However, it's not on the tree, it's in the tree, as in the tree itself. So is it a treehouse?

"Dude, what got you so distracted? You're literally going to hit a tree if you keep walking," Rhea remarked. I blinked a few times and looked at the direction I'm walking in. There is a tree about ten feet radius from me. I walked forward and did a right turn. "Phew, that was close, thanks, Rhea."

"But what have you been thinking?" She asked. Should I tell her? Maybe I should. Yeah, I definitely should. "I was thinking if the house IN a tree is considered a treehouse since tree houses usually mean the house is built ON the tree."

"Really?" she asked, doubting me. I kept quiet to indicate that I was indeed serious. "Unbelievable! No! It's not a treehouse! The tree itself is a house!" she sneered as if I somehow offended her.

"Geez, chill! I'm sorry! You don't have to act like I offended seven of your family generations!" I exclaimed, defending myself and putting my free hand up as a sign of surrender.

"You what?!" She yelled again. "Okay, okay! Really! That's just a saying! I didn't offend seven of your family gens!"

"You better not have!" She barked after awhile of squinting her eyes and stare at me in disbelief.
