Rhea came into my room and took a seat beside me handing me a cup of hot choco. I took a sip and hummed in delight before looking at her. "What happened to Alvis?" I asked.
She hung her head down before looking back at me, "you see. As spirits that are neither good, neither bad, there's a lot of things we can do. However, once you choose to be either a good or bad spirit, you can't do anything that goes against your then policy. Alvis chose to be a spirit doctor, he's been around for a couple of thousands of years, he went down the road of meditation and inner energy to heal people. He created his policy a few years after he became the doctor he always wanted to be. He vowed to never harm anyone or anything, especially a human unless it causes danger to anyone else otherwise."
I nodded to show that I understood. I can't believe Alvis was once nice. It is certainly shocking if you ask me. I mean, I don't know him until quite recently.
"But one day, he fell in love with his ex before me, she's a human. He did everything he can to make her love him. He even blessed her. He gave him all he is. That girl didn't love him because he's a spirit and evidently too old for her. He fell for her kindness to humans not knowing how she is with spirits. So, he killed her," she explained.
"But wait, if he went against his policy, what will happen to him?" I asked.
"Simple, he disperses and fades away," she shrugged. I furrowed my eyebrows and gave it a thought, "then why did he not disappear when he killed her?"
"Because no one called him out when it happened. The effect of the policy only works if he, himself understands that he did wrong and wants to repent or someone calls him out within the first three days of the event."
I nodded, so that's why he hurt me and was fine. "When you told me about this earlier, and the fact that he admitted it while you were in the slumber you were in, without thinking, I immediately called him out for disobeying his own policy, and with that, he started to get sucked by air and faded."
"Thanks, Rhea, however, I have a question," I said. She nodded, letting me go on with the question, "So, how did you know all these?"
"He told me, of course. We spent a few hundred years from when we met before we became a thing. And it took him about six to seven hundred years to tell me about that. We broke up after because I didn't want to be with someone who goes against their own policy," she shrugged and sighed. Her face filled with disappointment.
"When was this?" I asked softly. I'm really curious as to how they were together since he wasn't all that nice to me either. Rhea looked at me as if she wanted to forget about it so badly. Her face made me feel guilty as if I reopened an old wound.
"About 78 years ago," she replied. I put down the cup of hot chocolate and opened my arms to offer a hug. She turned her body to face me and wrapped her arms around my torso, digging her face into my chest. I wrap my arms around her and gave light pats on her back to soothe her down.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked," I said. She shook her head, "let's stay this way for a moment, I need this hug," she whispered. I pat her back to agree with her and continued to lightly pat her back to make her feel better.

I laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling. It's now dark outside. My brain going through all the events that happened. Everything flashed through my mind and vision. 'Arran... Arran....' that strange voice spoke. This time it's here without me being in possible danger.
'Close your eyes... close your eyes...' it said.
I succumbed to its instructions and closed my eyes after relaxing. I needed it as well because I've not been able to sleep at all.
My vision went past what seems like thousands of dimensions and galaxies. It is as if I went through a teleportation process. I ended up in a room that seemed normal. It's a white empty room. I would've mistaken it as a mentally locked room if it wasn't made out of marble and have windows. Outside the windows, it's just the sky.
"Arran," that voice called. This time it didn't sound distant. I turned to look for the sound and found that it leads to a woman. She looks like she's in her 60's. She wore a beautiful smile paired with pale yellow hair growing to her mid-arm which is tied in a beautiful braided bun. She had a gorgeous long sleeveless dress and had a silver belt around her waist.
"You must be wondering who I am. I'm Alvis' first victim, the girl who I'm sure that girl Rhea has mentioned to you," she said. Her voice at that moment rung motherly love. I couldn't say a thing, I just nodded at her statement.
"I died and was placed under probation to be a guardian. I was told that I would be the guardian of Alvis' victim that he will hate the most before he disappears. So I've been waiting for so long until I was assigned to you. I only appeared when you were drowning. It was Alvis' first move on you," she soothed.
I had a feeling it would be related to him but I didn't know it was true. What shocks me more is that I have a guardian now? A guardian angel? My body started to fade and felt changes as if I was being sucked back into my own world. I had a question which I quickly asked, "Will Rhea be able to see you, or anyone else?"
She simply shook her head. "I live inside you. You are now my host and only you will be able to see me. I will guard you and be a mother figure to you as well as your protector. I'll see you again when you have anything troubling you, now have a nice sleep, Arran."
