She wrapped a bright red scarf around herself and brought a gray one for Sylvan Cheney.
This weather, it gets cold all of a sudden.
Many places in Chinatown aren't accessible by car, so Sylvan parked at a nearby parking lot.
"Haven't gone out all day? You should get out more." Sylvan held her hand and noticed her palm was quite cold.
"Staying home is really boring, it's better when I'm at work. At least there are lots of things to do when I'm busy at the company, keeping me on my toes."
"After you have the baby, I'll help you arrange a job."
"I, a scholarship-winning student with hands and feet, don't need you to arrange a job for me." Jasmine Yale snorted.
"I'm not worried that you won't find a suitable job yourself; I happen to know a few partners whose companies are hiring. I can put in a word so you can get in directly."
"I won't."
Sylvan smiled and pinched her little hand.
He knew she wouldn't be willing.
