Jasmine Yale laughed; he's so good at sweet-talking.
They stood side by side at the window, looking down, feeling as if they were catching all the splendor beneath them.
Chinatown at night was beautiful, with colorful lights, bustling crowds, laughter and cheer everywhere. The street was lined with all kinds of shops: candy shops, bun shops, jewelry stores, pawn shops...
It was a lively sort of prosperity.
Jasmine leaned against Sylvan Cheney's shoulder, holding his arm, watching the bustling world together.
Women are more subtle in their thoughts, and she genuinely wished to be with Sylvan forever.
But how long "forever" was, she didn't know.
"Are you hungry? Let's order." The man wasn't too affected by these things, he just enjoyed Jasmine Yale clinging to him.
"You go ahead, you know what I love to eat, just nothing too spicy or greasy," she said.
