Chapter 198 - Chapter 198: The Astral Tetrahedron

To say the pain was unbearable would be an insult to the concept of suffering.

Inside Fang Lin's empty fourth spatial pocket, the thread of the Dark Flame Spirit's true Origin Essence and the massive, swirling red fire of the Abyssal Flame Core-Stone collided in a terrifying bid for dominance. It was an apocalyptic war confined to the space of a single drop of water.

The black fire sought to devour, to destroy, to consume the heavenly fire in a display of supreme arrogance. The Abyssal red fire, incredibly dense and ancient, fiercely resisted, attempting to burn the invader into nothingness.

The resulting thermal friction was apocalyptic.

Fang Lin's physical body violently seized. Even the monstrous durability of his Asura Flesh, freshly tempered by the Second Extreme Revolution, began to crack. His skin blistered, turning a horrific shade of charred grey. Smoke literally hissed from his pores, filling the silent courtyard of Peak 74 with the smell of burning blood.

His newly formed fourth parallel meridian—the literal conduit for this fire—was being cooked from the inside out.

Every single nerve ending in his body screamed in absolute, blinding agony. It felt as if he had swallowed a dying star. If he lost focus for even a fraction of a millisecond, the warring flames would breach the spatial pocket, ignite his meridians, and incinerate him into ash.

*"Hold it!"* the Dark Flame Spirit roared in his mind, its voice laced with unprecedented urgency. Even the arrogant spirit realized the sheer, horrifying danger of the risk they were taking. *"If you lose control of the Soul Threads, you will die!"*

Fang Lin didn't have the breath to scream. His teeth shattered in his own mouth from how hard he was clenching his jaw.

His existing Tri-Core system was the only thing keeping him alive.

The Frost Core spun with a manic, icy intensity, flooding his surrounding flesh with absolute, chilling stillness to keep his internal organs from liquifying from the radiant heat.

The Life Core pulsed like a desperate, terrified heart. It continuously pumped boundless vitality into the newly formed fourth meridian, healing the walls of flesh and spiritual pathways at the exact same rate they were being incinerated. It was a brutal, endless cycle of destruction and rebirth.

And at the bottom, the Death Core radiated a profound, heavy gravity, locking the spatial pocket in place, preventing the sheer pressure of the explosion from ripping his Dantian apart.

Yet, despite this flawless stabilization, the flames refused to merge.

The black thread and the red vortex spun around each other, violently rejecting synthesis.

*I am not going to die here,* Fang Lin thought, his vision blurring into a haze of white pain.

He dug into the absolute depths of his willpower. This was the same willpower that had survived the Mansion Palace tempering, that had endured the excruciating tempering of the Chaos Phantom Extreme Physique, and that had dared to forge the Tri-River system.

"Fuse," Fang Lin roared in his mind, his soul vibrating with absolute command.

He didn't just use the Soul Metamorphosis threads to bind them; he used them as spiritual hammers. Hundreds of crystalline soul threads whipped inward, ruthlessly beating the black and red flames together, compressing them by sheer, tyrannical force.

The heat spiked astronomically. Fang Lin coughed up a mouthful of boiling black blood.

He compressed it further.

The flames shrieked, a high-pitched, wailing sound that resonated in his very bones. The black fire began to eat the red, but the soul threads forced the red essence to permeate the black.

More pressure. More willpower.

*FUSE!*

Suddenly, the wailing stopped.

The blinding light inside the fourth spatial pocket vanished, instantly replaced by a terrifying, heavy silence.

The frantic, chaotic spinning ceased. The violent thermal expansion collapsed inwardly, shrinking into a single, infinitesimally small point.

And then, it crystallized.

At that exact, instantaneous moment, the immense, tyrannical pressure Fang Lin had exerted upon his own soul reached a breaking point. His Peak Tempered Soul, having acted as the anvil and hammer for this apocalyptic forging, finally shattered its bottleneck under the extreme stress.

Inside his Spiritual Sea, his solid, clay-like soul rapidly compressed, hardening and refracting with pure spiritual light until it transformed entirely. It crystallized into a flawless, gemstone-like structure.

The Crystal Soul Realm.

His Divine Sense instantly exploded outward, the range and precision multiplying terrifyingly, while his cognitive processing shattered its previous limits, unlocking the ability to perfectly manage multiple complex threads of thought simultaneously.

Simultaneously, inside the fourth spatial pocket sat a perfectly spherical, flawless gem. It was neither black nor red, but a deep, mesmerizing **Dark-red**. It did not roar or crackle like a normal fire core. Instead, it burned with an absolute, silent intensity—a heat so concentrated and destructive that it seemed to consume the very light around it.

The Dark Flame Core was born.

The agonizing pain tearing through Fang Lin's body vanished. It was not a slow fade, but an instantaneous cessation, as if a switch had been flipped.

In that same millisecond, a gravitational anomaly occurred within his Dantian.

For more than 2 and half years, the Tri-Core system had spun in a flat, two-dimensional triangle, balancing Frost, Life, and Death. But with the sudden, massive gravitational weight of the Dark-red Core appearing in the empty pocket, the flat structure was shattered.

The four isolated spatial pockets violently snapped into a new formation.

Space itself warped in his Dantian, forcing the pockets to align in three dimensions. The Frost, Life, and Death cores formed a perfectly spaced triangular base, while the new Dark-red Dark Flame Core snapped into position directly above them, acting as the apex.

It formed a flawless, three-dimensional pyramid.

The Astral Tetrahedron.

The moment the structure locked into place, an unprecedented sense of absolute harmony washed over Fang Lin. The internal pressure that had always plagued his multi-core cultivation disappeared completely. The four laws—Frost, Life, Death, and Dark Flame—flowed into one another with flawless, cyclical perfection.

Simultaneously, his Tri-River meridian system recognized the new anchor. The three rivers connected to the newly formed fourth meridian, creating a massive, four-pillared cosmic loop that circulated through his Asura Flesh with terrifying efficiency.

The Four-Pillared Cosmic Cycle.

Fang Lin slowly opened his eyes. The world looked different. Clearer. Sharper. He didn't just feel stronger; he felt structurally flawless. The physical bottleneck that had restricted his body was completely gone.

He slowly raised his hand. With a mere thought, a silent, Dark-red flame flickered to life over his palm. It gave off no heat to the surrounding air, yet Fang Lin knew, with absolute certainty, that this flame could melt through a Spirit Manifestation treasure as easily as a hot knife through snow.

Deep within his Spiritual Sea, the Dark Flame Spirit materialized. It looked down at the dark-red flame dancing in Fang Lin's palm.

*"A Tetra-Core,"* the Spirit whispered, a rare note of genuine awe replacing its usual madness. *"You actually did it, you lunatic."*
