"Which one of you idiots wants to tell me where the fuck I am?"
Nobody answered.
Fantastic.
My eyes moved between the three of them, the one closest to the wall was older. Maybe forties. Broad shoulders, greying beard, arms crossed over his chest.
The second looked younger. Skinny. Dark hair. Nervous fucking eyes that kept moving between me and the other two like he was waiting for someone else to volunteer.
Then there was him, spiky blond hair and light blue eyes.
The last face I'd seen before everything went black.
He was sitting backwards on a chair a few metres away, arms folded across the back of it.
Watching me.
I stared back.
Neither of us spoke, then recognition finally clicked into place.
"You."
His eyebrow lifted.
"Me?"
I remembered David's hands around my throat.
The pressure.
My lungs burning.
The gunshot.
Then those blue eyes appearing through the blur.
I touched my neck.
Bad idea.
Pain immediately answered.
"Fuck."
"Yeah…"
Blondie said.
