A witch with long Scarlet hair carrying a magic staff, and a half-wolf man with short grey hair who was carrying a Lance, circled by many dead wolves, that they killed, they were standing injured Infront of them are the pack leader -which was larger and had a white fur on his head- and two other wolves that were slightly smaller.
The long dress of the witch was worn out and even her long hat was on the ground, while the beastman's fitted shirt was torn from the chest area and an injury is bleeding under it.
The witch:(Oi Bete!, aren't you a dog like them?why don't you try to reason with them?we will get killed by your kin at this rate)
Bete was clearly angry by this and shouted at her:(for the tenth damn time, I'm not some kind of a damn monster, you freaky witch!)
The witch responded in a low voice:(Tch....damn useless hybrid)
(I heard that you da—*crash*)
Just as he was talking a wolf attacked him and destroyed the ground he was standing on, though Bete was able to avoid it smoothly, the leader of the pack stood there unmoving but the other wolf attacked the witch from a far by lightning, she was able create a barrier that just in time to deflect the attack.
Bete:( why don't you activate a spell or anything to get us out of here then, Scarlet?)
Though they were avoiding the wolves attack and keeping an eye on the leader of the pack, they kept fighting.
Scarlet:(that's why I hate hybrid heads like you,do you have a dog brain as well?do you think spells are that simple?)
Bete:(you damn!agh), without even knowing how to respond at her he just saved his breath,the wolves though kept attacking but that's when Scarlet noticed something.
Scarlet's thoughts:(despite that they are attacking aggressively, but they keep their distance,from the first glance normally i will have harder times dealing with close range attacks but with the mana I still have I can actually do better if it was close range attacks, especially against huge opponents like them, that's why that wolf is trying to drain my mana by attacking from a far, also the leader didn't move, that means....)
Scarlet then shouted at Bete :(Hey,useless hybrid!!we have to finish this in one attack,you should distract them for me until I prepare the spell)
Bete angrily clenched his teeth, but he decided to do what she wants.
He firmly grabbed his Lance, then he stood there for a second without moving, the wolf however didn't stop and attacked him but before he touch Bete lightning appeared around his body and in less than second he avoided the attack and kicked the wolf's chin sending it flying in the air.
Bete has already decided to go all-out without restriction so he didn't stop at this only,in a quick move he threw his Lance -which was surrounded by lightning magic- towards the other wolf that was attacking Scarlet from a far,the Lance hit the ground but didn't hit the wolf, but that was enough to distract it for a few moments,then he jumped high to reach to the wolf that he sent flying, the wolf tried hard to attack him by lightning mid-air, but of course it couldn't hit him.
Bete punched the wolf three times quickly before finishing the combo with a strong kick that sent it towards the other two wolves,the wolf crushed with the other one besides the leader of the pack, that's when the leader decided to move finally and unleashed a very strong lightning bolt towards Bete before he can land, as if it was waiting for the right chance however, Bete dodged it mid-air exactly before it hit him.
If course he didn't stop at this, he dashed towards the Lance he threw before, quickly the leader of the pack attacked him with his claws, Bete barely dodged while he was clearly exhausted, the other two wolves have already stood again and started to attack as well, he tried to dodge every attack, but...the lightning surrounding him finally disappeared,he used all his power in these few seconds.
Bete thought:(it's over now), that was before the three wolves dashed to attack him in his exhausted state,he made sure that he is grabbing his Lance tightly..... because at this moment Scarlet pulled him with red magic strings that surrounded him,she was enchanting the final part of the spell while doing this: "destroyer of the lands,bring your fire sword and paint the world with your flames"
The moment she finished a circle appeared under the wolves and as if they were paralyzed, they couldn't move while a giant sword appeared above them, the moment this sword landed,a tornado of flames swallowed all of the wolves.
Scarlet kneeled on her legs as she leaned on her staff to support her from falling totally on the ground, Bete wasn't in a better state, his Chest's wound bled so much and he was exhausted, both of them were breathing heavily.
Bete:( you know?)
Scarlet:(what?if you want to thank me then but me a dinner after we return), despite being on the brink of death she was able to make comments like this while grinning.
Bete of course got angry and responded aggressively as:(you are really a pain in ass,I wanted to say that you should have unleashed this spell from the beginning instead of making us reach this state)
Bete stood and Scarlet who was slightly far from him, stood as well then went to get her hat from the ground, the flame started to disappear and the ashes just filled the place.
Scarlet coughed a little:(i really hate the remainings after burning something, anyway at least we finished here,do you think that idiot died yet or not?)
Scarlet clearly meant Ellios by this,and despite being harsh but Bete didn't comment on this instead he said:(does it matter?I mean, if that idiot died then we won't have to pay the fee of leaving the party right?)
Scarlet:(that's a good point, but we at least should retrieve his body as an evidence that he died)
After saying all of this with cold blood,Scarlet continued:(Anyway, we should hurry to find him and get out of he—*break*) before she can continue, huge claws hit her, she barely reacted by creating a small barrier but it was so thin that couldn't stop the sudden attack, the attack sent her flying after breaking her stuff.
Bete couldn't regain his composure in time before he got hit by a lightning bolt from a very close range, the attack made him fly and crush into trees paralyzed and totally crashed.
Scarlet was coughing blood as her arm and other bones were crashed and broken,and she didn't believe that the leader of the wolf's pack survived her attack.
Scarlet's thoughts:(I let my guard down....no, it's not just this, how did that freaking dog survive my spell in the first place?is it because I kicked that idiot earlier or something?does Karma really exist or what?)
She then raised her voice after clenching her teeth:(HEY, Useless hybrid!!move or do anything I can't move, if you can't save me then just run away or anything, i don't want to die by the claws of a dog beside another dog)
Bete:( Can't you at least die without saying anything awful with that filthy mouth?I can't even move I'm totally paralyzed, damn it!)
The huge wolf walked slowly towards Scarlet who was laying on her back on the ground of course, she clenched her teeth but she didn't look scared or anything, she was more annoyed than being scared.
Scarlet:(damn it! *Sigh* why should I die in this stupid way?ah, I wanted to get rich and buy myself a luxurious palace then dying from aging, not beside a stupid hybrid by the claws of his relative, what a miserable death for a beauty like me)
Maybe Scarlet was talking like this to avoid thinking about death or it might just be her true thoughts, but one thing was true which is.....the wolf was already standing before her, he opened his mouth and decided to eat her like this.
But....
(SCARLET!BETE! I'm here to save you)
The wolf stopped after hearing this awfully high and noisy voice, it was Ellios standing there and clearly worried about his friends.
The same thought came across Scarlet and Bete after seeing him there, standing there safely without big injuries, that thought was.....(How can this idiot be completely fine while we are dying here?this is so annoying)
They were just annoyed after seeing him.
The wolf though took a defensive pose after seeing the other person appearing quietly in front of it, Bete and Scarlet were confused from the appearance of this stranger.
Daichi didn't salute them and of course he didn't wait for the wolf to make any moves,with a flick of his left hand both Scarlet and Bete were put in big bubbles and a small flame appeared in the palm of his left hand.
He threw the small flame towards the wolf and in a blink, everything turned red by a great flame that ate the wolf's body and left nothing, the next moment the flames disappeared without leaving anything behind it, not even ashes.....
....
..
Just like this, it was so simple for him, the great wolf who destroyed both of Scarlet and Bete was burnt without leaving ashes in just a small simple move,in less than seconds.
What was in their minds then was how something like this is possible,and.....who the hell is this person?
