Solomon spent a long time exploring the silent tombs. He inspected the grandest marble sarcophagi, running his fingers over the carved names. He knocked his knuckles against the thick stone pillars, listening for hollow echoes that might indicate hidden compartments.
He stared up at the vaulted ceiling, searching for hidden levers or hanging chains. He checked for any strange markings, out-of-place riddles, or unusual architectural discrepancies among the graves.
After wandering the aisles for a while, he finally spotted something strange on the far left wall of the chamber.
He passed through the narrow corridors between the tombs and stood directly in front of the stone masonry. He inspected the wall closely, running his hands over the cold rock. Nothing seemed strange up close. It looked exactly like a normal, solid stone wall.
"Am I just losing my mind?" Solomon muttered, rubbing his eyes. He turned around and walked back down the aisle.
