Solomon opened his eyes and found himself lying on a sprawling bed of lush, tall grass. A vibrant blue sky stretched endlessly overhead, painted with the warm, golden sunlight of a late evening.
He pushed himself up into a sitting position and let out a heavy sigh.
"How come every single time I am on the absolute verge of death, I end up waking up here, but I cannot come here voluntarily?" Solomon muttered to the empty green plains.
He climbed to his feet and brushed the grass from his gray academy uniform. He had tried to enter this serene mental space dozens of times during his meditation sessions back at the sect, but he just couldn't force the transition.
'Is it because this inner world is still incomplete?' Solomon wondered, gazing across the horizon. 'Or perhaps there is a specific trigger or a designated pathway I need to unlock before I can access this place freely?'
