In the morning, Dave rushed to the house pack. He wore a white button-down shirt with hiking boots and jeans. He looked neat and cool, but Dave was grave and seemed to be thinking about a heavy burden.
Now wasn't the time for him to relax like before. The condition of the pack was becoming increasingly chaotic, both in terms of economy and defense. The other groups had already sensed the Blood Moon pack's weakness, and Dave was worried because they could easily take advantage of the situation to overrun his territory.
"Honey, I have to go to the pack soon. Can't you take care of the house without me?" Dave told Mia.
"You're mocking me? I'm a former Omega. My former job was to take care of the household. Have you forgotten?" chirped Mia.
Dave was aware that his words were wrong. He immediately hugged Mia, "I'm sorry, Mia! I didn't mean to put you down. I'm just worried that you're tired because you're pregnant," said Dave.
Mia was still a little upset, but then she asked Dave again, "It won't be long now, will it?
"I don't know, I can't be sure because my task in the house pack is piling up. Are you fine with that?" said Dave.
"Umm... well, if I get bored spending my time here all day, can you let me go for a walk in town?" Mia repeated.
Dave felt dizzy. He had to hurry up for lost time, but Mia kept stalling him with various requests.
"But you know how bad our economy is right now," Dave replied.
Mia didn't answer and instead looked away from Dave. Frustrated and feeling he had no choice, Dave gave in to Mia's demands. Then Dave ran back to his room. He grabbed some money from the safe for Mia.
"Here, honey! Go for a walk and shopping in town later when you've finished your homework, but don't tell anyone because I took the money from the house pack save." Dave explained. He kissed Mia on the forehead and then drove to the house pack.
Mia was happy. She didn't seem to care about homework. There were three Omegas in her house doing their job. Mia won't do the maid's job because she's a Luna now.
Dave arrived at the House Pack. He walked quickly to his room. He was so surprised when he entered it. His desk seemed to be covered by a pile of documents.
"Ough!" Dave muttered.
He was immediately startled by the knock on the door from outside his office. Dave invited the person in, who turned out to be the administrator.
"Sorry, Alpha Dave, if I'm interrupting your time. I want to tell you about some issues that must be dealt with right now," the administrator explained.
"Our medicinal herbs suddenly failed to yield, even though there was no problem at all, and the farmer had done a good job fertilizing and maintaining. They tried it but still failed," the administrator explained.
"Oh my God, what disaster is this, the other crops? Dave chirped, "The corn plantation?
The administrator looked down languidly, "The rat infestation destroyed it too, and there are only a few kilos left to sell on the market, and the proceeds won't even cover the operating costs."
"I will try to find a solution with the council," Dave said with a frown.
The administrator excused himself and walked to his office to do his work. He left. Dave looked frustrated. However, Dave had asked the administrator to call Beta Daniel to his room.
Beta Daniel rushed over, even though he also had plans to go into town today to meet with potential new investors. However, he couldn't bear leaving Dave alone with his problems.
Beta Daniel opened the door to Alpha Dave's office, "May I come in?" he asked.
Dave nodded. He was at his computer, trying to email a proposal for funding and cooperation to some of his friends from college. His hands were shaking uncontrollably. He had just finished reviewing a printed document of the pack treasurer's income and expenses. There were still dozens of documents to review.
"I've only read one report. I already feel bad, Beta Daniel," Dave said suddenly.
"What did you check, Alpha Dave?" asked Beta Daniel.
"The pack treasurer's report and a bunch of minuses, what should I do about it? I just got a complaint from the administrator that the medicinal plants failed to harvest, and the corn plantation was damaged by pests. Did you find out about that?" asked Dave.
Beta Daniel took a chair and sat in front of Dave's desk.
"Well, I am aware of it, and I looked out for new investors in the city or other areas outside Eastern Siberia," talked Beta Daniel.
"That should be my job. I'm sorry, Beta!"
Beta Daniel smiled, "Yes, it's all right! I'm also sorry that I didn't have time to ask for your permission and to discuss it because--"
Before Beta Daniel could continue, Dave replied immediately.
"Yes, I know! I was selfish yesterday in not allowing you and the Council to get involved and get the solutions."
Beta Daniel rubbed Dave's shoulder to encourage him and said, "Take the mistakes of the past as a lesson. Elder Sam has also tried to find other solutions, but our main problem is only about funds. If it is solved, all problems are solved.
"Ok, let's sit down! Tell me what the problem is!" said Dave, controlling himself to stay calm and in charge.
"Trust me! I've learned a lot from our former Luna how to deal with problems like this," said Beta Daniel. Then he asked for permission to go to the city.
Dave looked at his best friend, who was slowly leaving his presence. He was thinking about Beta Daniel's last words.
Dave muttered to himself as his eyes stared blankly out of the window, "That's right, this pack lost someone as smart as Cora. I'm selfish to think of my interests," then Dave came to his senses and shook his head.
"Ah, no! What was I thinking? I can't regret my decision. I should be thankful for Mia and my future child," Dave said, still trying to get rid of his heart.

He turned to Beta Daniel, who had just arrived in the city center a few hours later. He seemed to have met up with one of his friends at a mansion. His friend was a successful businessman in real estate.
"Daniel, I haven't seen you for a while. You're looking more dashing!" said a man named Jhon.
Daniel replied, "You look more successful too, Jhon!
John nodded. Then he asked what Beta Daniel wanted to see him about.
"I would like to offer you a business partnership. Perhaps you'd be interested in becoming an investor in my place of work," said Beta Daniel.
John then asked for a more detailed explanation about the Blood Moon Pack and the business opportunities there. Beta Daniel was enthusiastic. He explained his plan, which would be mutually beneficial to both parties.
"I hope our cooperation will go well. When should I give the money?" John asked Beta Daniel.
"I will get back to you as soon as possible, John! First, I will survey the area for medicinal plant seeds, animal feed, and machinery to process corn plants into ready-to-eat food," answered Beta Daniel.
"Alright, at the same time, Daniel, if there is empty land around your workplace that is strategic to build a real estate business there, I will add more funds for that."
"It would be my pleasure, John!"
They shook hands, and Beta Daniel excused himself. He had to get back to the house pack. Dave would need his help as well. The other councils and everyone in the Bloon Moon pack were busy with their job, but Mia didn't. Don't expect anything from this woman. She was only thinking about being the queen of fun.
Beta Daniel drove his car through the city and looked around. He suddenly spotted Mia walking into a shopping mall.
"It looks like Luna Mia, right? Did I see her wrong, but I'm sure it's her!" Beta Daniel said to himself.
Then, he followed Mia silently to the parking lot.
Beta Daniel slowly walked behind Mia, "How could this woman be so extravagant," he muttered to himself.
Mia walked confidently, buying whatever she wanted. She bought bags, clothes, high heels, makeup kits, jewelry, and baby clothes. Even though she was only a few months pregnant, the baby was still a ways off. Maybe Mia was taking advantage of the current opportunity. As an Omega, she would never be able to have what she had just bought.
Beta Daniel could only shake his head at Mia's hedonistic behavior. He decided to go home immediately and talk about what he had just seen. He wants to tell Alpha Dave to reprimand Mia and give her strict rules.

Meanwhile, in the office room, Dave was sleeping on his desk. His face looked rumpled and tired. However, the pile of documents on the table seemed to have fallen off and scattered around his feet. He was trying to complete his tasks one by one.
In his sleep, Dave dreamed of seeing Cora's figure again. It was like the first time he had fallen in love with his ex-wife.
Cora was beautiful in Dave's eyes. Her skin was the same color as when the sun kissed it. Her dark brown eyes sparkled in the light. Her long, curly hair framed her face, and her lips showed her pearly white teeth when she smiled. Her body was slender and yet perfectly curvaceous. For some reason, Dave felt the beauty of Cora's figure in his dream. Then he woke up and regained consciousness.
"Ah, why was I dreaming about her?" Dave muttered to himself.
Peter, the wolf in him, suddenly said, "Don't you regret losing a woman as beautiful and smart as Cora?"
"Of course not! Maybe she's the one who missed me and came into my dreams," said Dave.
"I know, Dave. You're a hypocrite! Cora is so gorgeous in the eyes of men. If you hadn't rejected her back then and made Mia your concubine, maybe your problems wouldn't have been so severe. You wouldn't have gotten the negative stigma from the council, and Mia would be accepted easily in this pack," Peter explained.
Dave sucked in a deep breath, "Hmmm, you have a point, Pete! But I still can't stand Cora. She's too superior to me in everything, and I feel like I'm losing my leadership position," Dave continued.
"Pride doesn't solve anything, Dave. You should see it as Cora caring about you and the pack!" said Peter.
"Never mind, Pete! There's no need to discuss it anymore. I want to move on and need to focus on the child Mia is carrying."
While Dave and the wolf that was Peter inside of him were arguing, the sound of the door opening once again startled the man. Beta Daniel appeared, approaching him with hasty steps.
Without a preamble, Beta Daniel said, "Sorry to disturb you, Alpha Dave! I can't get over Luna Mia." He said.
"What's going on, Beta Daniel? Why are you talking about Luna Mia all of a sudden? Shouldn't you be bringing good news about that investor you met?" asked Dave.
"I happened to see Luna Mia enter a shopping mall. I followed her from behind, and she bought quite a lot of stuff. Where did she get the money from? When we're in crisis. Don't tell me you gave her money from our pack savings!" said Beta Daniel.
"Are you accusing me? It was my own money. It was the first time she'd bought it like this. It's only natural. I don't give her money all the time."
"You still don't get my point, Alpha Dave? Ah well, I don't want to argue and fight with you again, but I want to ask you for help this one time! You have to make strict rules for Luna Mia," Beta Daniel told him, looking very annoyed.
Dave nodded slightly and accepted Beta Daniel's suggestion.
"Fine, I'll advise her, but don't tell the council again. I've got enough problems to deal with in this pack. Don't add any more because of Mia. She is becoming increasingly unacceptable."
Beta Daniel agreed and then handed over the business card of the friend he had met earlier.
"This is my friend's business card. He will contact you soon with a proposal for cooperation, or maybe you'll contact him first. He was willing to accept my offer. He even wants to open a real estate business for this pack," Beta Daniel explained.
Dave was relieved to hear this. It was like a breath of fresh air amid his dried and muddied heart and mind.
"Beta Daniel, do you know how Cora is doing now?" Dave asked suddenly, surprising Beta Daniel.
"I don't know, but I had a dream of her. She wore a crown and became a queen, and her life was happier, radiating from her bright smile," said Beta Daniel.
Dave looked down, "I had the same experience as you. When I accidentally slept, I also had a dream about her. You're right! She looks happier," he continued.
Beta Daniel rubbed Alpha Dave's shoulder once more.
"If you meet again one day, apologize to her. Maybe our pack is messed up because we were mean and unfair to her." Beta Daniel said again.
The man left Dave's room with a smile. There was one hidden fact about Cora. Only Elder Sam and Beta Daniel knew about it, having heard it prophesied. Even Dave didn't know.
That's why Beta Daniel always tried to defend and keep the good name of Cora, as well as Elder Sam did. Cora is no ordinary werewolf.
