Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Debut

The atmosphere at the Ciudad Deportiva de Getafe was electric. This was the Division de Honor, the stage where future stars were born. Rayo Vallecano's U-19s were known for their "Rayismo"—a style of relentless pressing and physical aggression.

Alex sat on the hard plastic bench, his neon-orange bib pulled over his training shirt. Next to him, Javier was nervously bouncing his leg.

"Look at them, Alex," Javier whispered, nodding toward the pitch. "They're playing at a different speed. Marco and the guys can barely keep the ball for three passes."

Alex didn't reply. His eyes weren't just watching the game; they were analyzing it.

[System Notification: Tactical Observation Active]

Scan Target: Rayo Vallecano Defensive Line.

Analysis: High Line detected. The space behind their full-backs is vulnerable, but the Blue Team's midfield is too panicked to see it.

The match was a disaster for Getafe. Marco Valeri, usually the king of the pitch, was struggling. Every time he received the ball, two Rayo players trapped him. His Composure was failing. In the 38th minute, Marco lost the ball in the center circle. Rayo countered instantly.

Goal. 0-1.

The second half started no better. By the 60th minute, Getafe's midfield looked exhausted, their passes becoming sloppy and predictable. Coach Gallo paced the touchline, his face red with frustration. He looked at his bench, his eyes landing on the youngest player there.

"Villar!" Gallo barked. "Strip off. You're going in."

A cold shiver of excitement—not fear—ran down Alex's spine.

[System Notification: Quest Update]

Quest: Save the Debut.

Condition: Enter the match at the 65th minute.

Current Score: Getafe 0 - 1 Rayo Vallecano.

Probability of OVR 60 Breakthrough: High.

Marco Valeri looked toward the bench as Alex prepared to enter. His face was a mask of sweat and disbelief. He couldn't believe the "scholarship kid" was being sent into a game they were losing.

Alex stepped onto the grass, feeling the familiar texture of the turf under his boots. As he crossed the white line, the system interface flared to life, brighter than ever.

[System Alert: Zone of Influence Initialized]

"The Architect has entered the field. Commencing Tactical Synchronization..."

As Alex stepped onto the pitch, the Rayo Vallecano midfielders looked at his 15-year-old frame and laughed. "Did they run out of players?" one of them mocked. "They're sending in a ball-boy to save the game."

Marco Valeri didn't say a word. He was panting, his jersey soaked in sweat, staring at Alex with a mixture of resentment and desperation.

The first ball played to Alex was a "grenade"—a heavy, bouncing pass from a panicked defender. A Rayo attacker charged at Alex, intending to flatten him.

[System Notification: Immediate Threat Detected]

Action: Incoming Tackle.

Logic: Do not resist the physical force. Use Balance (51) to redirect.

Instead of trying to control the ball, Alex used the side of his foot to redirect the bouncing ball first-time, right through the legs of the charging attacker (Nutmeg). He didn't even stop to watch; he was already moving into the open space.

"He's just lucky!" the Rayo captain shouted. "Close him down!"

But Alex was like a ghost. He wasn't sprinting, yet he was always in the one spot where no one was marking him. His Awareness (89.1) was working at maximum capacity. He could see the "lines" of the pitch glowing in his mind.

[System Notification: Skill Activation]

Skill: [Tactical Eye] — Global Vision Unlocked.

Status: Analyzing Rayo's 'High Line' Defense.

In the 72nd minute, Alex received the ball in the center circle. Marco was shouting for the ball, but Alex ignored him. He saw something no one else saw. The Rayo left-back had drifted two centimeters too far inside.

Alex didn't look at his target. He looked toward the right wing, drawing the defenders' attention, then suddenly executed a 'No-Look' carved pass with the outside of his boot.

The ball curled around the entire midfield like a heat-seeking missile, landing perfectly into the run of Getafe's striker.

[System Notification: Precision Milestone]

Action: Elite Through-Ball.

Passing Growth: 73.5 (↑ +0.7)

Vision Growth: 86.7 (↑ +0.2) — Breaking the bottleneck!

The striker was one-on-one with the keeper. He shot... but the keeper barely tipped it over the bar for a corner.

The stadium gasped. Coach Gallo stood up from the bench, his eyes wide. He had never seen a 15-year-old play a pass with that much "weight" and "intent".

Alex walked toward the corner flag to take the set-piece. He looked at the scoreboard: Getafe 0 - 1 Rayo. There were 15 minutes left.

[System Warning]

"Your physical Stamina is depleting faster due to the high intensity of the U-19 pace. You have one 'Maximum Output' play left before your performance levels drop. Make it count."

While Alex stood panting, watching his teammates celebrate, his eyes weren't on the crowd. They were fixed on the blue interface, which began to vibrate violently, shifting from a calm azure to a deep, warning crimson.

[ !!! SYSTEM WARNING: EVOLUTION LIMIT REACHED !!! ]

Alex froze. He felt a sudden, heavy pressure settle over his shoulders, as if the world itself had become denser.

[ System Notification ]

"Congratulations, User. You have reached OVR 60.0. You have officially exited the 'Amateur/Injury Recovery' phase and entered the [Professional Prospect Tier]."

[ IMPORTANT: Tier-Based Progression Difficulty ]

"From this point forward, the laws of growth have changed. To maintain realism and peak performance, the System has implemented Progression Bottlenecks:"

Tier 1 (OVR 60-69): [Hard] – Training efficiency reduced by 40%. Experience points required per attribute increase doubled.

Tier 2 (OVR 70-79): [Extreme] – Training efficiency reduced by 70%. Breakthroughs now require 'High-Stakes Match' performances.

Tier 3 (OVR 80-89): [Legendary] – Growth becomes microscopic (0.01 increments). Only 'World-Class Achievements' can trigger stat increases.

Tier 4 (OVR 90+): [Divine] – Stagnation point. Growth is almost impossible.

[ System Note ]

"The easy path is over, Architect. To reach the top of the footballing world, hard work is no longer enough. You will need to dominate, suffer, and evolve through fire."

A cold smile played across Alex's face despite his exhaustion. He wasn't intimidated by the warning; he was energized. In his past life, he knew that the difference between a good player and a legendary one was the ability to shatter these exact limits.

"60 was just the beginning," Alex thought, wiping the sweat from his brow. "If the System wants to make it hard... then let it."

To all the readers following Alex's journey:

We have just reached a major milestone—OVR 60.0. The "recovery phase" is officially over, and Alex has earned his place in the professional landscape. But as the System warned him, the easy road ends here.

I decided to implement these Tier-Based Bottlenecks (Hard, Extreme, Legendary, and Divine) because I want this story to stay true to the beautiful game. In real football, thousands of players reach a "good" level, but only a handful have the mental fortitude to break through and become world-class.

From this point forward:

No more free handouts: Every +0.1 increase in a stat will be a battle.

Quality over Quantity: You won't see Alex jumping 10 points in a single chapter. Growth will now be earned through blood, sweat, and elite-level performances in official matches.

The Architect's Mind: This change forces Alex (and me as the writer) to rely more on tactical brilliance and football IQ rather than just "system cheating."

Alex Villar is no longer just a kid with a gift; he is a professional prospect fighting against the natural limits of his body. Stay tuned, because the real "Silent War" against the footballing world has only just begun.

Thank you for your support. Let's head into the professional era!
