You say goodbye to the rabbit, just like always.
You close your eyes—
and when you open them again…
you expect reality.
But you are still dreaming.
Three months have passed since you first stepped into the Dreamland.
You've helped countless people.Night after night, you chose to give them gentle dreams—safe dreams.
You were content.
You and the rabbit had grown closer.Sometimes you worked together, sometimes your paths split across different dreams.
Tonight was no different.
"A trip to the sea," you said."Make sure the child doesn't drown," the rabbit replied.
Everything went as it should.
Until it didn't.
You tried to wake up.
But you couldn't.
No matter how long you closed your eyes—
you remained.
"Why… can't I wake up?" you whisper, panic rising.
"That's not possible…" the rabbit mutters, shaken.
"This isn't supposed to happen."
Then suddenly—
you are back in the city.
Not just you.
Everyone.
Dreamers. Children. Adults.
All trapped.
"Why am I still here!?""Wake me up!""What's going on!?"
Panic spreads like wildfire.
And then—
the sky darkens.
Not like night.
But like something… swallowing the light.
A figure appears.
Tall. Thin. Almost skeletal.
A black cloak drapes over his body.A long staff rests in his pale hand.
His voice echoes across the world.
"I am the Nightmare Man…"
"…the King of Nightmares."
The rabbit stiffens.
"That's bad…"
"Why?" you ask.
"He's the one who creates nightmares…and traps people inside them forever."
The Nightmare Man smiles.
"Do you know why I'm here?"
Silence.
"Because… none of you are leaving."
A cold stillness spreads.
"A morning… where no one wakes."
The words settle like a curse.
Fear takes over the crowd.
Until—
a voice rises.
"Then we defeat him."
All eyes turn.
The Queen of Dreams stands before them.
"If we defeat the King of Nightmares…this world will return to balance."
"No way…""That's impossible…""We can't win…"
Doubt spreads faster than hope.
Even the rabbit cannot reach them.
"Let's go," the rabbit says quietly to you.
"Just the two of us."
There's sadness in its voice.
But also something stronger—
resolve.
"Wait."
The Queen steps forward.
"I will go with you."
And so—
the three of you leave the city behind.
The sky remains gray.
The world… fractured.
Whispers crawl through the air:
"Stay…""Reality hurts…""This dream is better…"
You hesitate.
But the rabbit stops you.
"Don't listen."
Ahead—
a massive black gate.
Endless darkness seeps from within.
"The Nightmare Castle…" the Queen whispers.
The doors open.
A slow, echoing laugh follows.
"So you've come…"
The Nightmare Man steps forward.
His hollow eyes lock onto yours.
"I've always wondered…"
"…how long a human like you could endure a dream."
The rabbit steps beside you.
The Queen raises her hand, light forming around her.
"This battle," she says softly,
"will decide everything."
Your heart pounds.
But your mind is clear.
This is no longer just a dream.
This is a war—
for everyone to wake.
And in the darkness—
the Nightmare Man smiles wider.
"Then let us begin…"
"…your worst dream."
To be continued
