Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Star Performer

Kevin stayed in Holli's private dressing room for a while longer, using her computer to research more about Toontownsville's business scene and restaurant regulations. The club outside was already lively as he could hear the thump of music, laughter, clinking glasses, and the occasional cheer from the main floor.

A live dancer was on stage, but it wasn't Holli; she was still backstage handling business.

When Holli finally returned, she didn't knock. She simply slipped behind Kevin's chair while he was typing, pressed her soft, heavy breasts against the back of his head, and wrapped her arms around his shoulders in a warm hug. Her tits sandwiched his head deliciously from both sides as she leaned down and planted a slow, deep kiss on his lips.

"Mmm… missed you, baby," she murmured against his mouth. "Come with me outside. I want you to meet one of our star performers."

Kevin smiled into the kiss and nodded. "Lead the way."

They stepped out of the dressing room together. The main floor of the Ink & Paint Club had shifted into a smoother, more intimate mood. The lights were dimmed to a sultry glow, the crowd was tame but buzzing with anticipation, and a single spotlight waited on the empty stage. Holli guided Kevin to a private table near the front, close enough to feel the heat from the stage lights. They sat down, and he casually draped an arm around her, his hand resting possessively on her soft breast.

The lights lowered further. A hush fell over the room.

Then she appeared.

Jessica Rabbit stepped onto the stage with pure, effortless allure. She was breathtaking, impossibly tall and curvaceous, with skin like polished porcelain, fiery red hair that cascaded in perfect waves down her back, and a sparkling emerald-green dress that clung to every exaggerated curve like liquid silk. The dress had a thigh-high slit that revealed long, toned legs with every step, and a neckline that plunged daringly low, barely containing her massive, heaving breasts. Her lips were painted a deep, seductive red, and her half-lidded violet eyes promised sin with a single glance. She moved with hypnotic grace, hips swaying, every motion designed to make hearts and other things race.

The crowd erupted in whistles and appreciative cheers the moment she appeared.

Jessica smiled that famous, sultry smile and purred into the microphone, "Good evening, Toontownsville…"

Then she began to sing.

"Why don't you do right… like some other men do?"

Her voice was smoky, velvety, and dripping with seduction. The slow, jazzy notes wrapped around the room like smoke. Kevin was mesmerized, eyes glued to her as she glided across the stage, gloved hands trailing sensually down her sides, accentuating every curve. When the chorus hit, she leaned forward, giving the audience a generous view of her cleavage while her hips rolled in time with the music.

Kevin's hand on Holli's breast tightened involuntarily, fingers sinking into the soft flesh.

Holli felt it immediately and smirked, leaning in close to whisper teasingly in his ear, "Looking at other girls while I'm right here, huh?"

Kevin turned to her with a playful grin, not missing a beat. "Hey, I can appreciate fine art when I see it. But don't worry you're still the one who gets to ride this 'art' later tonight."

Holli laughed softly, clearly amused by his quick comeback, and gave his thigh a squeeze under the table.

As the performance continued, Kevin's mind wandered for a moment. He wondered which version of Jessica Rabbit this was. The movie version: the loyal, loving wife who truly adored Roger despite everything? Or the one from the original book, where she was far more ambitious, manipulative, deeply involved in fame, money, and shady dealings, and had married Roger mostly for the spotlight while barely tolerating him? This Jessica carried herself with such confident, seductive poise that it was hard to tell yet.

A waitress approached their table and set down two drinks, a colorful cocktail for Holli and a cold beer for Kevin. He took the glass absentmindedly, but when he glanced up at the waitress, his eyes widened in genuine shock.

It was Betty Boop.

The classic flapper icon in the flesh: petite but incredibly curvaceous, with smooth black hair styled in that signature short bob with big curls framing her face, enormous sparkling black eyes, and full red lips that formed a perpetual playful pout. She wore her iconic strapless red dress that hugged her hourglass figure, the hem short enough to show off her garter belts and long, shapely legs. A tiny heart-shaped beauty mark sat just above her lips, and she moved with bouncy, flirtatious energy even while serving drinks. She gave Kevin a quick, bright smile before heading back into the crowd.

Jessica finished her song with a final, sultry flourish. The entire club exploded in applause, whistles, and cheers. She blew a kiss to the audience, bowed gracefully, and stepped off the stage as the lights came up slightly.

Holli immediately stood and took Kevin's hand. "Come on, baby. Let's go backstage."

They slipped through a side door into the performers' area. Jessica Rabbit was there, removing her long gloves in front of a vanity mirror. Up close, her presence was even more overwhelming, that hourglass figure, the way the dress clung to her like a second skin, the subtle sway in her hips.

Holli smiled brightly. "Jessica, I want you to meet someone special. This is Kevin Harlan my new… partner. Kevin, this is Jessica Rabbit, one of our brightest stars."

Jessica turned, her violet eyes locking onto Kevin. For a brief moment, something flickered across her face, a subtle hit of surprise mixed with heat, her cheeks warming slightly as Toon Magnet clearly registered. She stayed perfectly composed, however, extending one elegant gloved hand.

"Jessica," she said, her voice smooth as silk. "A pleasure."

He shook her hand, feeling the warmth of her skin even through the glove. "Likewise. Your performance was incredible."

Jessica gave a small, enigmatic smile. "Thank you. I'm afraid I can't stay long. I'm still needed back at Maroon Cartoons for some… business matters." She glanced at Holli. "We'll talk soon about the next booking."

Holli nodded. "Of course. Take care, Jess."

With one last lingering look at Kevin, Jessica slipped out of the backstage area, her hips swaying with that signature seductive rhythm.

Kevin stood there, heart still racing from the encounter.

Holli leaned against him, pressing her body close. "So… what do you think of our star performer?"
